Hannaford — Attraction in Town of Clifton Park

The Hannaford Bakery department at the Clifton Park location is very disappointing. Last year (4/2021) I ordered a Sesame Street themed birthday cake for my son’s first birthday. I ordered in the store and confirmed that they had the cake image that we wanted. Less than 24 hours before my son’s first birthday party, I received a call from a woman at the bakery stating that they no longer had the image. She did not offer to get the cake print from another location or offer any alternatives for the cake. She told me I would have to call around to another store to see if they had it (LESS THAN 24 hours before our party). After calling other locations, I found that the Troy Hannaford was able to accommodate our cake. Again this year, I decided to give my local Clifton Park Hannaford bakery a try. Once again the staff was less than accommodating. I contacted the bakery department asking if they had a minion themed cake print for my son’s second birthday. I was informed that they “did not” and “haven’t had that print in stock for the past two months”. I was recommended to call other Hannaford’s to see if they had it in stock. Once again, I called the Troy location which was more than accommodating. The Troy location informed me that these cake prints are printed on edible paper and can be done right at the bakery. It is very unfortunate that my local Clifton Park Hannaford Bakery, now two years in a row, has had disappointing customer service. I will no longer attempt to order from the Clifton...

I never go there because it’s usually very busy and the lines take forever, but Walmart didn’t have the organic milk we needed so we went to Hannaford. So I got the organic milk as well as wic eggs an wic milk. Wait on line forever. Finally get to the front of the line and I need to use wic. Cashier had no clue how to ring and it came up that it “wasn’t a wic transaction”. Waited for a manager, he had no clue. Started pulling out wic pamphlet. Finally I paid with a different tender. As soon as I got to my phone in the car I checked the bar codes and sure enough the eggs and milk were both wic approved. Please train your cashiers and managers on wic. It was incredibly embarrassing and time consuming and I used a different method to pay because they were clueless. For future reference hannaford brand eggs and milk are...

This used to be my go to supermarket. There is a Citizens Bank within the supermarket and I worked there part time in the bank for 4 years while I was in college.

I felt the food here was fresh and I stopped there everyday so I got all the ingredients fresh. However as time passed and I stopped doing the grocery shopping and in between things changed and my choice was all over the place.

It was courtesy of Hannaford that I found out that all the fresh fruits and vegetables are coated with wax. That is when I made sure that I either wash my fruits really well or peel the skin before i eat them.
