I was granted a temporary pop-up unit at the Boxyard and it was leaking from the ceiling in between where the containers are welded together, as well as from under the front doors. It ruined several of my inventory items with mildew, and I was kicked out of the program for pointing out mold that was growing in the unit, as well as safety concerns. The owner insists that the courtyard is "public property", despite it clearly being private property, and I witnessed several disturbing events, such as someone shooting up drugs 10 feet from the front door to my unit. Many of the units do not have restrooms and tenants are forced to use a communal restroom in which toilet paper doesn't even flush down the toilet. It has fallen into total disrepair, and the new owner refuses to even acknowledge the problems, much less address them.

The unit I was "granted" by the Downtown Tulsa Partnership was leaking from the ceiling and from under the doors, causing my inventory (handmade fiber art) to mildew. Thousands of dollars worth of my inventory and supplies were taken by other tenants at the Boxyard and not returned, and the entire experience was horribly traumatizing. I was bullied and harrassed by the owners of the liquor store that is no longer in business, there were people shooting up drugs in the courtyard on private property, and the Downtown Tulsa Partnership, the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the landlord of the Boxyard refused to do anything about it. There is mold growing in the floor and walls of units 6 and 7.

I love the Boxyard! The Rose Rock Creamery is a fantastic place to go hang out and eat some yummy vegan delights! They always have several fun options and take customer suggestions. Dwelling Spaces has fun gifts for all. The Stem Cell Science Shop is a must for the smart inquiring minds in the family. The Water Co is also a great place to drop in. Take a break from your busy day and enjoy the Box Yard!

I constantly go to the box yard for their variety of stores and the general vibe. This last Saturday I was there walking around downtown with my family and I decided that I wanted to get a photo in the seating area of the box yard. As I was walking up the stairs, I heard yelling so I turned around and door fairy from the bar on top Was screaming at me that he needed to see my ID before I even went up there, even though the bar is on the complete opposite side of The box yard. I told him that I was simply taking a photo with my family and he said that he does not care. He needs to see my ID. I explain to him that I’m not going to the bar so I have no reason to show him at which point he said I had an attitude problem and bowed up to me for absolutely no reason. I would love to get my hands on the security footage because I feel completely mistreated The way that I was spoken to I am an avid customer and I deserve. I feel like a basic level of respect, considering that is what I give to all...
