Excellent acoustics at this historic venue. Went to see Alice In Chains and they were awesome. Security was very tight and no way people were gonna get crushed up in the front rows. If someone snuck up the aisle for a photo, security would let them take one or two then back to the back you go. This was the first concert I had to go to in a wheelchair. We had already purchased our primo lower balcony seats before the doctor scheduled my knee surgery. There was no way I could do steps 4 weeks post surgery. I emailed the venue and they were so helpful and exchanged my tickets for ADA compliant seats and I got to stay in my wheelchair. I couldn’t see very well since people were standing up but this is no fault of the venue. I’m only 5’2 so all I could see was the top of Jerry Cantrell’s head and sometimes his guitar! I do love this venue, this is the second time I’ve been here, the other was to see AIC a few years ago. It’s not a bad drive from Dallas. The people who work here seem to be happy to be here and Oklahoma always has a good crowd. Note to other wheelchair passengers, Tulsa sure does need to spend some of that oil money into repairing the streets and sidewalks in that area. They were in such disrepair that it was easier for me to get out of my chair and push it rather than risk falling...
Read moreTulsa Theater Experience: Blue October Concert: Overall, my experience at Tulsa Theater for the Blue October concert was positive, offering a surprisingly personal connection between the artist and the crowd. Blue October's fans were truly passionate and added to the energetic atmosphere. While the concert was great, a few improvements could enhance the visitor experience. Upon entry, clearer signage would be beneficial. Perhaps a sign directing those without tickets to a dedicated purchase line, separate from lines for those who already have their tickets, would streamline the process. Inside, the seating was a bit cramped. More legroom would greatly improve comfort, and cup holders are a must-have. I noticed many empty cups simply left on the floor. Alternatively, ushers walking the aisles to collect trash at intervals could help keep the venue tidy. Currently, there doesn't seem to be substantial food service, which was fine for this event. However, if food options are considered for the future, simple items like pretzels or pizza would be excellent additions, especially given the presence of some intoxicated concert-goers. Despite these minor points, the intimate layout of the theater truly made for a memorable experience, fostering a great connection between Blue October and their...
Read moreWent to the weird al and puddles show, I love them both and they are amazing. Tulsa theatre is not amazing, I'm so tired of these old tiny seats. They are so uncomfortable, we were in section n, and it was very hot up there, and we were packed in. I got to twice to stretch my legs, and the people around me were getting upset with me. One lady raised her voice and told me her hips were to wide to keep getting up out of those seats, we figured we would just find an out of the way place to stand, so that we could also see the screen since it was blocked by the speakers in our section, and it was a big part of the show. After a few minutes of standing and finally feeling comfortable a security guard approached us and firmly asked us to go back to our seats as if we were causing trouble. He followed us back to our seats, which was very off-putting and offending. If we were breaking the rules we didn't know, and someone could kindly let us know instead of coming up and trying to intimidate us first. When we got back to our seats we didn't sit because the people around our seats were already upset by us and we didn't want to hace to sit there crammed in with them with that heat. We stepped outside to get some air and decided to just leave. Was really looking forward...
