There is a sign at the entrance strongly suggesting that customers wear a mask while shopping in their store. They say they cannot make people wear one. Even though there are so, so many stores that do. So, while shopping I saw employees in the Twin Falls store without a mask on - which is against corporate policy! Hmmm
Then, listen to this...
I know someone who bought ammunition online from the Twin Falls store. When the transaction was completed, they were told to go and pick up the ammunition at the Twin Falls store customer service window, they were told to print out and bring the purchase receipt. The ammunition was paid for online with a credit card. When they got to the store the person at customer service called someone over from the gun and ammunition section, and he said they didn't have the ammunition for pickup. When the person showed the receipt that they had already purchased the ammunition from the store online, the employee said they will not honor the purchase of the ammunition because they save the ammunition that they have in the warehouse for people who are buying firearms from them. When corporate was contacted, as well as 3 other Idaho locations I was told that this is not a Sportsman's Warehouse policy and if the purchasing transaction was made online the ammunition should have been given to the purchaser when they presented their purchase receipt.
There also was a situation with a firearm that was on sale. a picture and price was advertised in the sportsman's Warehouse sale flyer. There was a limited quantity of this firearm available at this special price. They were not available for online purchase, in fact they didn't even show up online. We arrived at the store as they were opening the doors. We immediately went back to where the firearms are sold and were told by the employee all of the on sale firearms were already sold. But we were the first people in the store on the first day of the sale!?!? How is THAT even possible?
I don't know what is going on in the Twin Falls sportsman's warehouse, but apparently if you are not a friend of an employee you don't get to purchase the items that should be available to all customers, and if you make a purchase online and are told it is available for pickup, you may or may not receive the item you bought and paid for. And it is worth mentioning, if you are an employee you do not have to follow the corporate rules. Mind you, these are not suggestions for employees, and there is no medical excuse for not wearing a mask. If you are an employee at work, this is a corporate mandated policy. I guess I just don't understand.
It's too bad that this is the only store for these types of items...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience my wife and I had tonight. My wife bought me a Garmin Rino 750 for Christmas and I pulled it out of the box to use it on the first hunting trip of the year. It had a faulty battery and would not hold a charge when we took it in to sportsman’s warehouse, We were informed rather abruptly that there is no return or exchange policy after 30 days and there was absolutely nothing they would do for us. When my wife insisted that they check to see if it was a faulty battery they did and yes, it was a faulty battery She asked if they would just exchange the battery for us and all would be good and Jason rather smuggle and arrogantly told us not gonna happen and not his responsibility. My wife said why did you sell us a faulty product and then he wanted to do nothing but argue and said well why did you wait five months before you use this product. Extremely frustrated and disappointed with Sportsman’s Warehouse and the help that they have hired to try to take care of customers because all Jason wanted to do is argue instead of trying to take care of a customer. When we asked if he would exchange the battery, Jason stated that’s my managers call and that’s probably is a big NO!! We would like this resolved and just taken care of. We bought a very expensive product that we were looking forward to using but it is not working. We just want...
Read moreI was very disappointed in the cashier next to us. we bought a gun and this gal helped us and had to wait with the gun until we finished checking out. The cashier Shaun came up to our gal and first words out of his mouth were "oh it's you. you look like a pug that got dropped on its face a bunch of times and dam that is not a good thing." when he looked my way as if seeking a laugh I told him that was rude and not funny at all. he replied with " it's just who I am. there was this girl that worked here that I made fun of all the time before she quit. I used to call her 5 finger forehead and would tell her that if I ever threw anything at her it would hit her in the forehead cause that is the biggest target on her body." I was not impressed and stopped responding. the other people looked uncomfortable around me. first To me talking about this in front of customers is 100% inappropriate. 2nd this is harassment. that poor girl that quit and that poor girl that, unprovoked, got made fun of in front of customers she was helping. I can not believe sportsmans keeps this kid employed there. I am utterly...
