T.J. Maxx — Local services in Twin Falls

Today, November 4th, 2024, I had a deeply disappointing experience at the T.J. Maxx in Twin Falls, Idaho. My girlfriend, who is Hispanic, went to return a purse, which she had every right to do. However, an employee named Susanna Chaidez made derogatory comments about her in Spanish(not knowing my girlfriend perfectly speaks and understands Spanish), calling her inappropriate names and insulting her intelligence due to a purse she was trying to return. This behavior was not only unnecessary and unprofessional but also discriminatory, as it seemed to be based on my girlfriend's lighter complexion. Shockingly, this happened right in front of their manager, who did nothing but say, "I'm sorry," to address the situation once my girlfriend had had enough and decided to speak up and talk back in Spanish. This tj max is totally different from others that I have been to. I needed a bath stool badly and the one I chose had a small stain. When I brought it to the attention of management, they told me that I had to take it home and clean it, and if it did not clean to bring it back. They never offered to take something off the price at all. The manager stated that that was their policy in the past when they have taken something off for a small chip or something the most they take is one dollar. In my opinion, they shouldn’t be selling stuff with stains and cracks on it yet they do things are visibly broken and they have them for sale. They act as if they’re a swap meet or a rummage sale. Been shopping at TJ Maxx for over 20 years in Twin Falls and it has been a wonderful place to shop. But the customer service namely Sarah has gone completely down hill, her treatment and rude argumentative attitude recently when I had to return an item of the wrong size, was unacceptable and completely uncalled for. TJ Maxx needs to reevaluate their employee customer service treatment of their customers. She treated me as if I was beneath her, so rude and nasty. Won't be shopping at this store again, many people are of the same opinion as myself... corporate please take notice and correct this...
