I have visited this store over the past couple of months and had really been enjoying it or so I thought. I spent quite a bit of money in there.
On Saturday, I visited the store to purchase some top loaders and various other items, due to purchasing and unboxing several boxes of trading cards the previous day. An employee by the name of "Wolf," stated that I was limited to how many items I could purchase. His reasoning was that he sells some of the items at cost and would have to mark them up if I wanted more. What's the difference if I or somebody else bought them? I left without purchasing anything. Your professionalism and demeanor during our conversation were horrendous. It was obvious the store does not appreciate or value it's paying customers. This employee was VERY rude. Even your other staff made comments about how terrible of a business model you were and are displaying. I will not spend another dime here. You lost several valuable customers sir, I can assure you.
The employees never complained when I was purchasing sealed trading card boxes priced far in excess of what they can be bought online for. For anyone else reading this, save your money and buy your trading cards from Dave and Adam in New York online, far cheaper!! They also appreciate your business.
The employees at Digital Heroes will tell you they are sold out of stock, when they aren't. They simply dont keep track of their inventory well. The website they display their stock on is never correct and their prices in the store, don't match their online price. Oh and Wolf, if you knew how to do your job correctly you wouldn't sell your items at cost but, would mark them up slightly for profit sake. I'd also ditch the severely dirty and damaged items from the shelves no one wants (those yellow grungy card boxes, yuck). Better yet, take those boxes you have and mark them for free for someone to get some use out of. I think the store would do far better without your presence here. Too bad Northstar Comics wasn't still in business,...
Read moreWe swung into Walla Walla for our yearly doctor appt, and arrived early.
We were so excited to find a comic shop. Unfortunately the experience left a bad taste so we won't be returning.
That said...Part of this is my fault.
I was scrolling thru the $1 comics.... I'm a sucker foe $1 comics so I can try new stuff.
My son found a graphic novel he was interested in, for $2.95. What? Hellyes we are going to grab that.
One of the $1 comics wasn't scanning. They never found it in the computer. It was a part 2. They said they'd just charge it as same price as part 1. I mentioned I had found it in the $1 bin.... It was not a $1. No biggy, customers move things. I've worked in a book store.
I got five $1 comics and one $1.99 comic.
This next part, I know, I F'd up.
I signed up to have recipient text to me. I did not take paper recipient.
I did not pay attention to the amount I was charged.
After we left, I got the text from my bank. An $18 charge.
Wait, $18???....
I called.. The graphic novel for $2.95 was $9.95. Uh..I'm looking at the sticker.
They said "Sticker was wrong. It's whatever the barcode scans at"....
Hmmm.... ummm.... Is that legitimately all you are going to say???
No offer for any the inconvenience?
I have no desire to take $ from a small business.
That is a big price difference.
Amazon's price is actually $2 cheaper. I will happily pay more to support local. If, it's open and honest communication.
Plus...one comic wouldn't scan AT ALL.. It wasn't in the system at all.. Yet, you are absolutely confident the sticker price is wrong?
If they had even simply offered a store credit for even part of the difference, something....
Not simply "Yup..our mistake but...
Read moreGreat little shop with a massive selection of cards, especially Magic the Gathering. Good selection of comics in trade as well. Friendly, helpful staff, which is always a plus. Can't wait to see what the new location they're moving to at 1617 E Alder will be like, and I'll definitely come back to check it out. UPDATE: So, I never actually saw the second location (1617 E Alder), but I finally popped in to the current location (120 E Alder) on a recent visit to Walla Walla and I am even more impressed! The inventory has expanded massively and this location is great! I'll definitely make a point to stop by anytime I'm in town. Staff is great as well! Very friendly and helpful. I'd give six...
