Wienerlicious — Restaurant in Mackinaw Township

We went around 7:30 pm couple of days earlier. We ordered the Chicago hot dog for us, and asked them to prepare couple of 'Veggie' Dogs for our parents as they don't eat meat or egg. While ordering we also asked them to put couple of sauces/toppings - Coney Chili sauce, mustard, onions etc. and told them to make those two Veggie dogs to go.

While we were waiting on their bar stools for picking up our order, we heard the kitchen staff laughing upon seeing the 'Veggie' dog order with the toppings/sauces. Once our number was called out, everything was in the 'dine in' tray (including the veggie dogs which were to go). But luckily due to that, we saw the Coney chili sauce also had meat in it and when we confirmed from the cashier they told yes indeed it contains meat. Instead of apologizing or even making an attempt to fix the issue, she just said yeah it does and didn't care. We threw both the veggie dogs away.

If someone is ordering 'Veggie' dog, I think it is the cashier's responsibility to let know that the Coney chili sauce contains meat. The cashier didn't say anything, the kitchen staff was laughing, and in the end we threw away about $14 worth of our $22 order.

I would give 0 stars if I could, if our parents had eaten that it would have been against their religious practice. But lucky for us, they even messed up the to-go orders and we were able to see the meat in the Coney Chili sauce. The kitchen/ restaurant itself was looking very unhygienic, I don't know how they are passing...

Since it was right before the holiday, it was one of the few affordable gigs in town. And it was raining outside, but I'm glad I went! I thoroughly enjoyed my bratwurst because it was perfectly made. It had that explosion when you first bite through the crispy exterior! Although I didn't order one, I overheard many customers ordering their milkshakes, so that will be a must try for next time. You can't miss the place it has a ginormous hot dog on the roof of the building and the inside has a bit of a 50s retro vibe due to the slick red vinyl booths and some bonus seating at the counter. A cute little place that I wouldn't mind visiting again. Only negative point to this experience had nothing to do with the restaurant itself but the parking arrangement. It's limited. And when some stinker parks inches away from your car so that your handicapped passenger can't get in, well that tends to alter my mood a little. The front and sides of the building are all glass windows so I'm sure our struggles in the rain we're observed by all...including the driver...but my brat was good! So...
