Just skip it. Hard to communicate with employees, beyond underwhelming and overpriced and not worth the time. Save your hard earned money. No views, youre missing nothing. Cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Extremely over priced. 11 burgers (really not great meat, like at all, seemed frozen but should ask) with no fries, sides or drinks. The burgers also do not come with much of what they say they will (bacon and blue cheese burger had barely any bacon or blue cheese. Others had one measly tomato and not very fresh lettuce, no ketchup or mustard or mayo and none offered or put in to go bag) the buns are not bad but too big for the burger, the meat is absolutely nothing to rave about. The "world's best burger" sign just brings tourists in, skip it. This place tries to have a cute ambiance inside but just doesn't work. Their prices do not justify the place. No views of anything, but a road and you're a good walk from the water. You can get a better burger, better meat, better condiments plus a side or a side and a drink for a far better price. Or the same price and a much better burger with what it is supposed to come with. Its just not that great of burgers, for all of them we would pay 7 or 8 dollars tops inc tip/tax for what we got, not 11. Also the waffle fries with chili and cheese complete rip off. Barely any cheese or chili and fries. (The fries are just run of the mill frozen stuff, with the cheap nacho cheese you buy in bulk and chili was so so) 36 dollars including tip/tax for 1 order of chili chz waffle fries and 2 burgers- there were 6 waffle fries w barely any cheese chili or cheese on them and overcooked burgers with too big of buns, burgers do not fit as they're not that big and no sides or drinks and barely any of the condiments they were supposed to come layered with... nope. A family of 5 would be spending 100 dollars here for sides, burgers, drinks and tip for everyone. Not worth it. Not even close. The employees are nice, one was from turkey and the other the Dominican...

For your own safety, DO NOT EAT HERE! My boyfriend and I went in hoping that our luck with little hole-in-the-wall places would continue but unfortunately our luck ran out.

Walking in it is a little dirty, but we were willing to get passed it. I ordered the fish dinner special and the boyfriend ordered the "world's best" burger. It started to go horribly wrong after that. We sat at the counter and watched the cook make our entire meal. First he patted out the burger, nice and big. And then he grabbed a burger bun, without changing his gloves or washing his hands. My boyfriend, who works in a restaurant, had to get up in frustration at that point. I continued to sit and watch as he continued to prepare my fish, which came out of a regular old kitchen zip bag (another health hazard) and the rest of our sides with his dirty gloves. When it was all cooked, he served up our food with the same gloves that he had used to pat out the burger, still not washing his hands or putting a new pair on. We were sickened by this and could not eat our food. We asked for boxes, paid, and started to walk out. At this point my boyfriend was furious at the fact that this place had put our health at risk. I decided to go back in and talk with the man who seemed to be in charge about it. I told him what we had seen and he told me, "Don't worry, he probably dipped his hands in that bucket with bleach water in it afterwards." What?!?! An even bigger hazard! I was flabbergasted at this point and we just left.

Be advised, these positive reviews may be bought. They have a sign up in front of the door telling people that if they review the restaurant on Yelp or Trip Advisor while eating they will get a free t-shirt.

You've...

KEEP DRIVING! I'm not sure where to start, I'm stunned that the place isn't in violation of a current health code, the waitress brought an open half empty jar of preserves for my cold unbuttered toast - I can only imagine how many licked knives/spoons or kid's fingers have been in those jars - the eggs were overcooked, the bacon was under cooked. Service was terrible - sat with an empty coffee cup for twenty minutes, waitress never even came back to the table. I was willing to overlook the dilapidated appearance - the building looks like it was built by a three finger carpenter and the tables/booths/chairs look like thrift store cast offs - if the food was good, but unfortunately, everything about it was a disappointment. The burgers are not "World's Best" - they weren't terrible, but for the cost (burgers, fries, & soda = $16/person) I would expect better. Especially since it's clear, the building isn't updated or maintained. I wouldn't even say it belongs on "Top 10 Best in Mackinaw City" unless the list refers to tourist traps - $16 a plate for mediocre/terrible food is definitely a...

Cute little old school diner makes a good pit stop for travelers crossing the Mac and looking for a quick bite. Service was super speedy and the staff were very nice. Indoors has some countertop and table seating. Outdoor picnic table seating is dog friendly with a large grassy area to walk around and they will even bring you water bowls, which makes it a perfect place to let the pup have a break from the long car ride too. However not all the outdoor tables have shade cover and it can get really hot in the sun. The food is good, but there's a very limited selection and it's overpriced. After tip I paid $20 for just a single burger and fries. My burger wasn't super flavorful, but juicy and well cooked. Pretty basic, similar to the ones I can make at home. Besides burgers, the only other options on the menu are sides and chicken strips. For the price I would hope for it to be better than it is, but still definitely worth checking out.

This is a weird one to review. It's a diner. When I pulled up I was like "meh, it's a diner". On the inside, you definitely feel like you're stepping back into time a little bit more than others I've been to. It's got a classic charm to it I suppose. The cook and server were very kind and welcoming. Almost what you would expect from a classic diner. I ordered an omelette expecting hash browns but I actually received some sort of white, sliced potatoes with seasonings. I don't like potatoes. I strongly dislike potatoes. But I tried them and I am so glad I did. I ate my potatoes. That cook is the first I've come across making potatoes I will actually eat! Mr Cook, if you are reading this, you get an extra star for that. The omelette was pretty good also. Again, can I get that omelet at any other diner? Of course. Those potatoes though!

I do not consider myself a burger girl. With that being said, this was the best burger I have had that I can ever remember. They use chopped pickle instead of slices so you got a taste of pickle in every bite. The cheese was melted and the meat was seasoned just right. They served with waffle fries a delightful change of pace. Our waitress was sweet and pleasant to talk to. The cook was engaging with people also. The had a funny hat he put on for some children. Which is nice to know he cares about the people that come in. It will also be a place I return to when I visit again.
