The building itself looked great but I can't recommend due to the rude nature of 'Tod' (I believe that was his name.) Brand new to Planet Fitness, my husband and I were super excited to start our journey. We bought brand new shoe soles and everything. I set everything up online through their website and we were certain we were ready to go. Entering the building we walked up to the elderly gentleman to see about signing in. Right away there was a problem. He had a big frown on his face about us disturbing him because we weren't aware of there being an app we needed to download. 'How the heck do you have a membership if you don't have the app?!' As if that was the only way to sign on. My husband asked for the exact app name and his attitude got worse 'Planet Fitness!!'
I guess we were bothering him from his leaning over the counter daydreaming time (which was what he was doing when we walked in). I didn't like the way he was talking to my husband. No judgement zone. Not at this one. He finally decided he would put our number into the system - Which would have been nice of him before. Sadly we were really getting uncomfortable and wanted to leave. He kept calling out the wrong numbers instead of the one we were giving him. I think by this point he just didn't believe we had a membership. A girl walked up to ask what was going on and he stated 'They claim they have membership with us.'
This was when we left and went to the Benbrook one. They walked us through the app process and had us out on the floor in minutes. Great work out. Loved them and will gladly take the extra miles to reach that location from this point on. Sadly Weatherford won't have a manager on their floor until Monday. Was told I would be charged one more time no big deal. Well the person working the front desk could not figure out the computer and had to keep facetiming someone asking what to do he also mentioned his phone was on 4%. Had a line behind me and a line waiting to use tanning beds. I was there for what felt like 20-30 minutes he had me sign a document 4-5 times because he could not figure out what he was doing saying nothing was saving & the computer wasnāt working right. I think he was having me sign a new contract but saying that the computer kept blanking iām not sure. In all he said it was taken care of. Well November comes around and iām getting charged again. Turns out the man canceled my Blackcard but signed me up for the 10$ a month membership. I canāt even begin to explain to you how that happened when i walked in and asked to cancel my membership. Extremely suspicious. So I go in again asking to cancel my membership AGAIN. Wasnāt refunded my November payment but Zane at the front desk assured me my membership was actually canceled this time around. The front desk here is unexperienced and dealing with them has been a nightmare the past few months. When I found out I was being charged again I tried to call the gym 4 times over the course of a day, left a voicemail and it wasnāt answer nor did i receive a callback within 2 days. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe club is fairly clean but i get there when they first open to work out before work and there is still grime on some machines. One of the tanning bed doors requires holding it closed. This has been brought up many times, to no avail. It was put out of order for a few days, then opened up again. I guess they thought it would heal? The hours are not 24 hours like the other Planet Fitnesses in Fort Worth. I guess Weatherford has more covid cases? There is no way to contact the owners. Period. All concerns must go through the teens working up front when they aren't texting. The issues above haven't been addressed using this method and there is no way to tell an adult about it. This is my final recourse unfortunately.
