So, I just got off the phone with ubreakifix in Weatherford tx. I set up an appointment to get my Wii U repaired, mostly because the website stated they offered free diagnostics and no obligation to repair. So, Michael called today to get more info on my issues Iām having. I explained my issues, then he quoted me $80 for just the diagnostic test. I asked about the website stating FREE DIAGNOSTICS. He said ā I have a lot of experience with Wii U.ā He put me on hold, talked to Amber the store manager, then came back to the phone to tell me she agreed with him and I need to pay $80 because ā Iāll need an advance diagnostic test vs the basic diagnostic test ā Iām a lab technician in a hospital and work in half million dollar laboratory instruments. Itās absurd to jump directly to an advanced diagnostic⦠I told her she just wanted to do an advanced diagnostic test to charge me the $80, and she hasnāt even seen my console yet. I told I was absolutely not going to pay the $80 dollars, because the website states free diagnostic testing on any console. She then told me to go ahead and bring it in and she would look at it for free⦠to which Iām not going to take it there. Now I feel like they may try to charge me unnecessary costs for their attempt to try to get an extra $80 out of me. I also called 4 other ubreakifix facilities and I was told the diagnostics is always free and no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWish I could put 0. My daughter in law brought her computer in for repair as the cover would not close properly. This was in May and after much back n forth they admitted they broke the screen while"repairing" computer and had to order another screen. Weeks later and many more calls, they said the screen wouldn't work, sorry. They kept the computer they broke and I bought a new one (elsewhere). Beginning of Sept my phone wouldn't make or receive calls saying it's a network error. Went to Mineral Wells ATT they put in new Sim card and updated the phone. Worked for a few minutes. Was told to bring it in (Assurian subcontracts to Ubreakifixit in Weatherford). They said it's ATT problem. Over a week we went back n forth 4 times! Finally they said I need new phone and there's no copay if I get the black back instead of purple. New phone works but not the $275 copay. Call Assurian and am told the people at Ubreakitthey breakitmore are saying that they never said this. So I went in the store and am told they have nothing to do with copay. So U break it screws up again. DON'T USE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my Pixel 8 to uBreakiFix to have the display repaired for a known issue covered under Googleās extended 3-year warranty ā a vertical pink line appearing on the screen. This is a well-documented defect unrelated to any physical damage. When I arrived, the pink line was clearly visible, and I explained that it matched the exact problem Googleās warranty covers.
However, the staff declined to process the repair because of a small scratch in the corner of the screen. This scratch had nothing to do with the defect and did not impact the displayās functionality. Google specifically covers the pink line issue regardless of unrelated cosmetic blemishes, so I was extremely disappointed that they refused to honor the warranty.
Instead of providing a solution or helping to process the repair through Google, they left me with a still-broken display for a problem the manufacturer already acknowledged. I would not recommend this location for warranty work, as they seemed more interested in finding reasons not to help rather than actually...
