Quick Summary
If you're looking for incredible barbeque, generous sides, and excellent staff, Heim is your only option.
Vibe & Atmosphere
Very social. Patrons can have conversations in line and at their table. Noise level is a bit high, but reasonable for the open-air design. We spoke at a normal volume with no lost words. Upon entering, guests are immediately greeted by a friendly staff member, handed a laminated menu, and explained the process for getting food. As customers reach the front of the line, an employee takes the order and hands the customer a number. At the next stop in the line, the customer pays and is told the staff will bring the order to the table.
Food
Pulled Pork - outstanding - very tender and cooked to perfection - both mild and spicy sauces were perfect
Chopped Brisket - a close runner-up - meaty, lean, and very tasty - both mild and spicy sauces were perfect my
Onion Rings - WOW - an order of four of the largest, thickest, and tastiest rings we've ever had
Green Chili Mac 'n' Cheese - the perfect blend of mild green chili, cheese, and enjoyable noodles
Service
Service was great. We were immediately greeted, handed a menu, told how the line flows, and given a brief summary of the process. The server, who brought our food to the table, was very polite and ensured we had everything we needed
Price & Value
The price was far below average. We were able to eat only about 2/3 oz our meal because of the generous portions. We spent less on a shared meal with leftovers, than we've spent for meals that left us hungry. Heim is an outstanding value.
Final Verdict
Heim has the best BBQ in the area, large portions, washer staff, and...
Read moreThe price of the food is really high for the quantity that you are served. A side salad and a little bitty container tray is five bucks. It should be a few dollars for the quantity. The girl that took our order, my husband wanted a receipt. He pushed the receipt to be printed and she acted like she didn’t know how to print a receipt and told us oh well. Another thing is the music they’re playing is not appropriate for the restaurant they’re playing screaming Head banger rock ‘n’ roll. Don’t get me wrong I like the code jam for this restaurant. It’s not appropriate, especially when they have the music loud where it screams and you can’t hear anything. The price for the both of us to get a two meat plate barbecue sandwich and three sides was $78. It’s just ridiculous. I don’t know if we’ll be going back. The reason why did mediocre for Services because the cashier really have an attitude and they really don’t know what they’re talking about. The servers and the people walk around and make sure everything’s OK was nice but the people take his order really mean some training and...
Read moreAs a soft opening it wasn't to bad. The staff was super nice and friendly and I feel like I would go back just for the service and view! Unfortunately we were disappointed in the potatoe salad. It was not very good and had a little bit of a dirt taste and the one thing my husband wanted was cold beer and they did not deliver.. the mugs where not cold and the beer itself wasn't cold so for $8 a beer it was a big turn off. The barbecue sauce had wayyy too much brown sugar in it which made the sauce to sweet to enjoy but overall I think if they made just a minor adjustments it could be a really good...
