I unfortunately did not have the best overall experience with this store. I was told by a family member that this store had great service with a knowledgeable staff. I was greeted by Brenda the first time and she helped assist me with getting a replacement phone and an upgrade. She helped me through the whole process which was great, and I felt comfortable that everything was in place.
I had some issues getting the replacement so I went back to the store to get some help with the third party company Asurion who was sending the replacement. When I explained my issues to the associate (Molly) she immediately responded by saying,"Well that's not my problem. I can't do anything about that. Have you tried calling them?" I explained that I had and they weren't returning my calls. She said,"Well I guess you could sit at the table and call them, but I can't do anything to help." I was very disappointed that she wasn't even making an effort to guide me in the right direction. After I called them, I called to speak with the manager (Melissa I believe) and told her how disappointed I was with my experience. She apologized and said, "That's not how we try to treat our customers." I work in customer service as well and understand what it should look like. If someone had an unpleasant experience at my place of business, I would at least want the opportunity to correct the wrong. I was very encouraged by our conversation and wanted to give them another chance.
I went back a few days later with my replacement and to get the upgrade. The new associate I was dealing with had been with ATT for over 20 years so I felt that she would know a lot about the products and that this would be a much smoother time. That was not the case. I was switching from Android to iPhone and the lady I was dealing with was an Android user. I kept asking questions about the Apple products and the Software to understand what I was getting into better. She said,"I don't know. Let me Google that." Whether you use the product or not, you should know how to sell it to your customers. I ended staying in the store for about and hour and a half and kept getting frustrated because I didn't feel that my answers were getting answered.
There are some good people there, but I had a inconsistent experience overall and would...
Read moreThis is the third time I've been at this location. The service has steadily decreased every visit. My initial visit was me switching my service to AT&T and trying to get a deal on the Note 9. The service rep made a mistake and said I couldn't get the deal on the note 9 with the plan I selected. It wasn't until a manager heard my gripes and said we could have, but they had already set up my phone, and I didnt want to stay another 45 mins to wait. Btw, this stems into my second point. My main goal was to get HBO. which they said I would have
The second visit I came with a question regarding HBO service which I could not access. I was told by the rep at that time, HBO was not included in my package, even though I expressed to them I had explicitly inquired about having HBO. No attempts were made to say sorry or trying to rectify the situatuon.
Today's visit... we waited for over an hour to ask a couple of questions... the entire time I saw at least 3-4 people just standing around not assisting at least 7 people who were waiting. I witnessed about 4 people leave because the wait was too long. I only stayed because it showed I was next in the line. One person was standing at the door as a greeter (fine), one person was watching the Texans v Colts game, one person just disappeared for 20 mins at a time, and another person was just floating around not answering questions or anything. No one came by to apologize for the wait or if they could answer a quick simple question. This store needs a refresher course in basic customer service. I will NOT be returning to this location and possibly ending my service with AT&T at the conclusion of my contract.
Wasting my time. 0% customer service. And pretty poor plan options. I'm actually am regretting my switch to...
Read moreA Warning About AT&T and the Tyson Experience
I'm writing this to caution anyone considering AT&T, particularly if you encounter the kind of abysmal service my family recently experienced. After years as a loyal customer with eight phone lines and an internet line, this interaction has left me thoroughly disillusioned and actively seeking a new provider. We purchased a brand new phone that was dysfunctional right out of the box. This is already frustrating, but what happened next made it infuriating. My wife visited the AT&T store, where an agent named Tyson handled her case. Instead of doing what every single other AT&T representative I've spoken to since has confirmed he should have done—replace the dysfunctional phone with a brand new one—Tyson offered dismissive and unhelpful advice. He told her to "wait for the next update" or, even worse, to "go across the street to UbreakIfix." This was not only unhelpful but downright negligent. Every other AT&T agent we've spoken with since has confirmed that a brand new, out-of-the-box dysfunctional phone should always be replaced immediately. Tyson chose to steer my wife in the completely wrong direction, wasting her time and causing unnecessary stress. I cannot emphasize this enough: do NOT use this AT&T location, or at the very least, avoid Tyson at all costs. His lack of proper customer service and failure to follow standard protocol for a defective new device is unacceptable. This single interaction has completely soured my long-standing relationship with AT&T, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. You should expect competent service, and unfortunately, that's not what...
