Iâve had repeated frustrations with this store, but my most recent visit really pushed me over the edge. I came in for cabinet-grade plywood and needed help sorting through the stack to find flat, smooth sheetsâsomething that requires a second set of hands and more lifting strength than I possess . Unfortunately, there wasnât a single orange-vested associate in sight. I had to go hunt someone down myself. Eventually, I found two employees standing around. I told them exactly what I needed, even showing them a detailed list my husband wrote out. One of the guys, whose name was prominently displayed in rainbow glitter âprideâ letters across his apron, handed me off to a newer employee who clearly didnât have a clue. He led me across the store pushing a flat cartâthose heavy, awkward ones that are a pain to steerâall the way to the bathroom vanity section. I looked at him and said, âYou donât even know what youâre doingâIâll figure it out myself.â Then I trekked all the way back to plywood. Thatâs when I found Taylorâfinally, someone who actually knew what he was doing. I showed him the list and he helped me sort through the stack to find a quality sheet. He also loaded an 80 lb bag of Quikrete for me, pushed my cart to the front, and told the cashier to give me a discount because the concrete bag was torn. Thatâs the kind of service every customer should receive. Unfortunately, it didnât last. At checkout, I specifically asked for load-out help. I waited in the loading bay for about ten minutes while a group of young employees wandered by, dropping lumber, getting in each otherâs way, and completely ignoring me. There were three or four of themânone offered help. So I pushed the awkward cart to the parking lot and struggled to loaded the plywood myself, but I got it done. Now, Iâm 5â9â and 120 lbs. Iâm not built to be lifting 80 lb concrete bags into a truck bed that sits higher than my waist. I tweaked my back loading it -while several Home Depot employees walked past me in the parking lot and never stopped to ask if I needed help. This wasnât the first time this happened. On a previous visit, I had a large amount of plywood to load, and they sent out a young woman built very similarly to me. Skinny little thing. She couldnât lift the sheets either. Why would you send someone who canât do the job? When I expressed concern about her potentially dropping it and damaging my truck, I told her directly, âYou shouldnât be out hereâgo back inside, Iâll find someone who can do the job.â After loading everything myself, I returned my cart and went straight to customer service. I spoke to the manager loudly and clearlyâbecause I was done being ignored. I told her the store needs to focus more on training employees to do their jobs well and staffing with people who can handle the physical demands of certain roles. Not everyone needs to work load-out, but if youâre sending people who physically canât do the job, thatâs a liabilityâand frankly, itâs disrespectful to your paying customers. I also shared how frustrating it is to watch some employees be more focused on personal self-expression than job performance. I donât care who someone sleeps with, and it doesnât need advertised. I care whether they know how to help me. If a name badge or uniform becomes a statement rather than a tool for service, priorities are out of balance. What I needed was simple: competent, capable employees who know the store, care about their job, and are available when a customer clearly asks for help.
At the end of it all, the only employee who actually showed up for the job was Taylor. Overall, this store needs serious improvement in staff training, customer service priorities, and common...
Read moreSo this is my second time visiting this location in the past two weeks. First was not good but manager made it right. I have to say she was very pleasant to deal with. Today however I asked a lady about something in thr garden center and she sent me on a wild goose chase telling me she didn't know if they had the item. As I Circle back around looking amd looking for the item I see that the lady actually works in the garden center! Really? It's ok to not know but she works in the specific area and could not take 2 seconds to find out? I think I will stick to buying items from local individuals and steer away from home depot. Last summer I wasted hundreds on plants that just dies two weeks later but I figured hey I'll try this year as they could have just recieved a bad shipment. But I spend way too much money on plants to be treated the way I was today so I will spend with someone who can actually take the time to try to be helpful. This blonde lady (her name tag is turned so cant see her name) is not doing much for the customers who need her assistance. This is an editorial to my sec9nd attempt while I was in the store. I went to customer service to ask again about an item while there were atleast 6 employees just standing there talking. They point to the direction of the item and send me on my way. I of course couldn't find it after 2 times around so I went back up there and asked if they just don't have the item or what? Then a gut walked over and showed me where it was. Gee wiz! That's enough for me. I do have to say my fiance went to the back during this time to get some wood cut and he said the young guys back there were really great and helpful. So maybe they should do...

Scratched door handle while their contracted delivery dropped it off. Home Depot had us go thru delivery company to get replacement handle. While waiting for new handle ice maker stops then freezer stops working. Another call to Home Depot and again referred to LG for service. Waiting to find they wouldn't come work ice maker until handle issues so they only had 1 trip. Meantime discover freezer stops working and food starts to defrost. Another call to add to ticket. This all takes place in January! Another call to Home Depot and manager wouldn't even get on phone. Finally told by guy on phone that manager says we can bring it back but I don't have that ability so I'm stuck. Service company finally shows up in Feb, changes handle, ice maker and control panel and leave. Hours later to discover still no ice, freezer light, and water don't work! Another call, to service since Home Depot assumes no liability and they can't come out until next day. I've spent hundreds of dollars on dry ice to keep the food I have in a cooler and a $3,500 machine humming in my kitchen doing a poor job of imitating a refrigerator. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT! I will NEVER buy anything...
