Cotton Patch Cafe — Restaurant in Weatherford

I cannot comment on service, nor atmosphere, as this was a delivery order. Tonight, I placed an order for two ribeye steaks, medium rare, both with fried okra, a loaded baked potato, and an extra side which was broccoli rice casserole. When I got the food and opened it up inside, I was a bit taken aback.

The two "loaded baked potatoes" were just two plain potatoes, with one not very big bowl of sour cream, a few green onions and bacon bits, maybe 12-13 visible stands of cheese and there may be butter in there, as well. I guess the two potatoes are meant to share this bowl of toppings to make them "loaded".

Next, I opened the two containers that held the broccoli rice casserole. The small bowls were not even half filled. Neither bowl even had the bottom completely covered by the broccoli rice casserole. I could put both orders into one bowl and there would still be room for plenty more.

Next up, the steaks, and okra, as they were boxed together. The steaks has a nice appearance and aroma, and were of acceptable size for the price. However, the okra... The ones was served in a tiny... Jello-shot? type plastic container. There just wasn't much to either order, as you can see in the photos. I dumped both okra orders out onto a sheet of foil to reheat a bit in the oven, as it was rather soft and squishy, and as you can see in the pics, the two okra orders together do not even look like enough for a single order. I think I counted 18 small, squishy pieces, collectively.

For the price, you can definitely find much better, especially when it comes to...

Extremely disappointed! We go to supper every Monday with my parents to a different place every week. Last night, 7/1/ 19, we chose Cotton Patch. We got there at about 5:30pm & it was NOT busy, so we were greeted and seated immediately & our drink orders were taken. 15 minutes later, we got our drinks and placed our orders. 1 chicken fried steak, 2 chicken fried chicken & 1 fried chicken strips. Keep in mind, it WAS NOT BUSY! 55 minutes later, we received our food. Chicken fried steak & chickens were good, but my strips were so overcooked I could not chew them, for fear of breaking a tooth, all of our sides were cold! Fried okra was soggy & black eyed peas were so salty & so much pepper they were not edible! The "butter" that came with the rolls, that looked as if they had been smashed, was nothing but grease, at best! We were never asked how everything was, not did we get our drinks refilled! There seemed to be a full staff, with servers walking around joking with each other and not doing much more than that! There was a woman there waiting on a to go order that was there when we arrived. When we left, she was still waiting for her food! She looked extremely angry & I don't blame her! I have enjoyed your restaraunt in the past, so I don't understand how this happened! After spending $60 for horrible food & service, my opinion of your restaraunt is very negative now! I will not be back & will be letting friends & church family about my experience!

Restaurant was basically empty, was clean, hostess was friendly. My order was made to-go. My order was properly made. I ordered the LARGE, full portion (more expensive) chicken fried chicken., 3 meals. Included, was a total of 6 sides, ALL DIFFERENT. ⛔️Sucks though, their idea of a serving, especially with ALL the sides was a joke!! Not one of them even came close to filling up the tiny space provided by the Styrofoam to-go container. My macaroni was literally 4 little bites & gone. ⛔️They didn't provide extra gravy for the person who ordered mashed potatoes. ⛔️Also, you no longer get complimentary rolls like you use too, the make you buy them. UNFORTUNATELY I can't chop it up to an oopsie because it was the same the last time we tried a meal here⛔️ And lastly, ⛔️the chicken tasted great but the size of it compared to what it used to be is almost comical.⛔️ You do not get your bang for your buck anymore, good food but small portions and way over-priced as it stands. I don't know if all locations are like this or just Weatherford but i will NOT be recommending to any of my friends. 🫟COME ON COTTON PATCH, QUIT BEING SO GREEDY AND BRING BACK THE DELICIOUS, LARGE MEALS YOU USE TO OFFER.
