I had the Youpou (hand-pulled) noodles in Lubbock years ago and have been looking around the metroplex for something similar but never quite found a good substitute.. Then heard from a friend that Fun had just opened a new location in Weatherford and got on over as fast as I could! It did not disappoint!! For me, nothing beats the texture of a good hand-pulled noodle and the chili oil+beef is so savory and delicious! Just make sure you mix it up real good or you might get an overly-salty bite. Adding more chili oil always helps too!š¶ļøand if you're looking for a little flavor hack, try throwing in the free peanuts they give you as an appetizer..š¤š„šidk if that's a "thing" it's worth a try if you're feeling mildly adventurous lol. It can help mellow out the bowl a bit while adding some nice texture! It's a decently sized serving too, I was not able to eat it all in one go. I can really only speak on the youpou but all the other food my table ordered looked really good too.. Oh i did get to the soup dumpling! That was also quite yummy! I'd have to say overall, you won't be able to find anything similar anywhere close, so Fun...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time recently, and it was an incredible experience. Since then, Iāve already made the drive back to Weatherford three more times just to eat here again. The value is outstandingāthe prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizesāand I canāt recommend it enough.
This is the only place Iāve found within 50 miles that serves soup dumplings, and they are absolutely addictive. The open kitchen is a great touch too, letting you watch the chefs handcraft the noodles and dumplings right in front of you.
The sushi is also a highlight, especially with their ābuy two, get one freeā roll deal. Weāve sampled almost every noodle bowl on the menu at this point and havenāt found a single one we didnāt enjoy.
My only small wish is that they offered sake or beer to pair with the food, but thatās hardly a dealbreaker. Weatherford has been in need of a spot like this for a long time, and weāll gladly keep making the 30-minute drive every couple of weeks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here multiple times. The first time, I took a friend out to lunch for his birthday. I had really been wanting to try the takoyaki and it did not disappoint. It was crispy on the outside and full of creamy filling inside. I also tried soup dumplings which I probably ate wrong, but they were still delicious. My most recent trip was yesterday when I had lunch with my parents and enjoyed the absolute best Red Dragon Roll I've ever had at any sushi bar I've ever been to. It was so fresh and plated beautifully. We also loved the calamari which came hot out of the fryer and had that perfect crunch to it. The atmosphere is great if you love anime (which I do) as it's playing on the TV, and you get to watch them pull the noodles by hand through the window. This has become my new...
