While I believe every piece of jewelry I, myself own was purchased by my husband at Kay… My review is based on a purchase I made to help my father… My father is in the end stage of terminal cancer. He asked me to help him purchase a birthday gift for his wife, expressing his wish to get her ear rings to match her necklace he had purchased previously. Unsure of how to do this, I contacted Kay by phone. I spoke to Kay associate Missy, who was kind enough to pull up my father’s account to help me figure out which necklace he had purchased and if there were earrings to match this set. She gave me all the info and added them to my fathers wish list so that a purchase could be easily made by me with the help of any associate in the event that she was not there when I was able to make it to the store. Needless to say I made it a point to visit the store that day and make the purchase from Missy herself. She may not fully understand the impact of her kindness and help, but I can assure you that during the most difficult time of my families life, her compassion mattered to me, and to my father. Read moreExtremely Poor customer services. 2 incidents at 2 different locations. 1st incident @york location is my wife ring was sent out for resized received an email saying it was rdy waited almost 35mins just to say its not here yet. 2nd incident at lancaster outlets another ring I purchased was sent out for sizing but I wanted them to send it the york location so I don't have to drive drive 45mins to pick it up. Sale man said they will ship it back to lancaster store and they will ship next day it to york 4 weeks later did not receive any updates at all about my ring. Called the store the guy said oh we have it in I'm sending out now for next day delivery. I waited 3 more days just to make sure they shipped it. Finally went into the store after calling for hrs with no one answering the phones waited another 45mins to say they do not have it yet. Asked the sales lady well can you call and found out what's the up she said I can't cause they not going to answer anyway. Poor customer services.
Now I've been on hold with the lancaster location for almost 25 mins for them figure out what's going on with my order. This is ridiculous 2 days before Christmas and I might even received my order yet...
Read moreI had shopped online and shipped to store. I received my order a couple of weeks ago and I was super excited to try on my new wedding ring set. Within 5 minutes of admiring my new rings, I saw that the engagement ring had a pretty noticeable defect. The center diamond setting wasn't centered causing it to lean to one side more than the other. Ok we'll just have Kay's send it for a repair or maybe a replacement. Finally we get the call that my ring is in, didn't have time to pick it up until today. So my husband picked up my engagement ring and brought it home. I'm not sure anything was done to it other than the band got damaged somehow, it's scratched and nicked. The center setting doesn't look any different than when we sent it to be fixed.
