I am writing this to formally share my disappointment with the service I received today at this West Valley store on August 16, 2025, between approx. 2:30 and 4:00pm.
I visited multiple other Uptown Cheapskate locations earlier today (Fashion Place, South Jordan, American Fork) and had nothing but wonderful, professional, and kind experiences. Unfortunately, that was not the case at your location.
From the beginning, the 2 associates who checked me in (one in particular who walked me through the process) were unkind and lacked basic customer service courtesy. They told me it would be an hour wait! A few minutes after I began waiting for my items to be looked through, I let a third associate know that I wasn’t feeling well and wondered if it was ok if I sat in my car to wait, and she had confirmed this was just fine—as long as I returned inside the store within 5 minutes of receiving the ready-for-pickup text. This had also been standard at every other location I’ve visited today, and so I did just that.
When I came back into the store 45 minutes later (still before I had received any text), just to check on the status of my items, the same rude associate informed me that I had been removed from the line when I'd first left the store 45 mins earlier, and this was without warning or notice. As a result, I was forced to wait an additional 30 minutes while customers who arrived much later than me were prioritized. This was frustrating, unfair, and avoidable.
To make matters worse, the associates' demeanors throughout the interaction(s) were unprofessional and rude. I also believe that they gave me less money for my items/took fewer items than they would have because of not liking me (since I was honest with them about my confusion as to why they'd done that rude thing without informing me, since the third associate was perfectly fine with it, as well as the associates at all the other locations).
I am very disappointed with how I was treated. Your staff represents your brand, and this experience left me feeling devalued as a customer. Unless this situation is addressed, I will not be returning to this location again, and will be giving my business solely to other Uptown Cheapskate locations.

Read moreI tried to return fake nails they sold me without the nail glue or the nail file it came with nothing to put them on with. And when I went to return them with the receipt. They told me I had to have a phone number with them which I was never told that when I bought the stuff in the first place. And also to mention I have a phone number with the other uptown Cheapskate in Murray but apparently that doesn’t count. They said they don’t work with them which is so stupid you are all the same brand. And the customer service was horrible. I would only recommend shopping there if you want your bank account to be empty leaving that place. What a horrible store...
Read moreI was shopping here and it is so hard to find anything because you have to fight the racks. There is no room for hangers to move and when you try to move them things fall. It is also very dirty, the floors are covered in dust bunnies and stains. I understand that it is a used clothing store but, some of the items I liked had stains on them. Not to mention when you talk to any of the employees they seem very uptight and their smiles are forced. Last time I was there they talked to me like I was dumb. I would not recommend this place to find cute clothes, there are better...
