PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW FIRST.

Despite the countless 5-star reviews, this turned out to be a low point of my family’s trip. Let me explain why.

This is hinted at in some of the reviews, but Russ was not the enthusiastic and helpful person that the consensus made him out to be. From my first call with him, he was dismissive and rude. I had several questions about whether he had any rules against infants or pregnant women (as my party potentially included both). Instead of just answering my questions, he made several sarcastic remarks about how he wasn’t a doctor and couldn’t make those decisions for me (I didn’t ask him to; I simply asked if HIS BUSINESS had any rules against it). This set the tone for the rest of my experience.

On this initial phone call, and when we called back to book, I was only told the pricing of a day’s ride and the individual pricing of the 2-seater and 4-seater variants of ATV’s. No mention was given to any other aspect of the pricing or any other decisions I needed to make about the experience. This is very important because as you will hear, there is much more to this excursion than I was led to believe.

When we showed up, Russ treated our party with the same rude attitude he gave me over the phone. He repeatedly made impatient jokes every time we asked a question, snapped at us every time we thought we were close to being ready to go (there’s quite a process before you actually set out which is fine, but which none of us knew or expected), and he even went so far as to make an inappropriate joke about my 80 year old grandfather who clearly has dementia and was repeatedly getting confused. During this entire session, Russ was impatient, inappropriate, and just plain rude.

Now for the surprises. Once we were almost ready to go, Russ informed us that we essentially had to buy $20 ski goggles and $5 neck gaiters to participate, since there’s lots of dust, and that we’d have to pay for any gas we used during the ride. Not a single part of this was mentioned in the two phone calls we had prior. All of us agreed that we would rather have known in advance and been quoted these costs (or at least informed of them like the gas) prior to booking. The goggles and neck gaiters were indeed necessary for the ride, but the fact that he waited until after we showed up and gave our credit card was very deceptive. Worse, he pressured us to pay for those items with cash — a very sketchy business practice and easy side gig for him. Again, this gave us a very gross feeling.

The last thing that really upset me was that he failed to tell us that there are actually 2-3 different routes you can take, in very different directions. All of the scenic stuff you read about in the comments is likely from the 2 other routes that we did NOT take. What we got instead was an extremely rocky and rough off-road dirt trail on the Idaho side. We had already seen most of this including the final stop at Big Springs since we were staying in Island Park, ID. When I asked if we could instead take the other route, he said we couldn’t because of the 4-seater we had chosen. Again, not a single bit of this was clear from either the reviews I read or the two calls I had with him. So, completely misleading from the get go. I would absolutely not recommend the Big Springs route since it is 90% just a dirt trail with nothing to see besides trees on either side. There’s a handful of times when there’s an overlook or a river view (before the final destination) but you can’t really stop at all because there’s virtually zero turnouts and the whole trail is covered in a cloud of dust at most points because other ATV’s and dirt bikes are constantly flying by.

The whole experience was awful, from the rudeness to the surprise costs. It was handled very poorly, and I would not recommend this to anyone. Your experience may differ, as did so many of the reviewers, but I wish I had read a review like this one I’m writing before I booked. I hope it helps you make an...

We found this by recommendation and it was everything we hoped for….and quite a bit more. Russ is a wonderful gentleman, and is very knowledgeable and thorough. LISTEN TO THE MAP DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY! (LOL). Literally you take his machines out for 7 hours and bring them back, the only guide you have is the amazing map app that Russ uses, and a VERY well marked paper map. The RAZRs are amazing machines kept in impeccable service condition. You head off with directions, and a bit nervous (well? We did because it was our first time). Soon you are head long into an amazing adventure! There are rocks, and valleys and water/mud holes, and that is just on the road! Most of the puddles are SO DEEP! There is an amazing look out point, and there is Two top summit! It had snow! Then you travel down switch backs and three point turns and you find yourself at Big Springs and the log cabin hand made by Johnny Sack. You then make your way back to the start by another amazing road journey through some of the most amazing country God has created. You are only 45 minutes from Old Faithful and it is smack dab in the middle of W Yellowstone. This is the only place I will EVER rent from and it is the only place you...

Biggest crook in Montana. He tried charging us $1500 for scratches on an all terrain vehicle that rides rocks all day by design. “No structural damage, just scratches”

In response to owner’s reply: You can see across multiple reviews that your customer service and professionalism is extremely sub par and you clearly have no regard for those who fund your business. You collect money for “damages” and then never repair the vehicles per our conversation earlier at your facility. You make a living off of scamming people and overcharging them for normal wear and tear(scratches). You should be ashamed of yourself. Especially when you bragged about when a couple had to be rushed to the hospital after an accident and you were proud to get 7k out of them for the atv and then another 3k in scrap parts, “not including their medical bills”. Since there was a clear overcharge for scratches (per your response below) please let me know when i will...

What an awesome experience! The ATV’s get reserved quickly, so don’t hesitate! The owner was very nice and provided us with all the info we needed to get going. My wife was a little nervous at first, but that quickly evaporated as she realized it was safe and really fun! Not only did my wife end up loving it, the kids loved it too and couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards! We had such a great time that everyone didn’t care that they were filthy dirty! Little bit of advice for first timers, brings googles, gaiters (for the dust) and clothes you don’t care about getting dirty. Remember these vehicles have some get up and go, so test them out a bit before going all out!

We did the West Yellowstone to Big Springs trail, from 8am-Noon. We weren’t prepared for the cold temps in late June, but once the temperatures came up, it was an awesome ride. Big Springs, ID is a nice place with seagulls, huge trout to feed, and a neat hand built log cabin and water wheel. Russ did a great job setting us up with a phone app and hard copy map to make sure we knew where we were going. The only complaint is that Idaho needs to put more effort into their trails, because the Montana side was a much better ride, but that’s nothing to do with the rental company. Hope to make it out there again someday and do a full day adventure!
