Read moreThe food was not bad. But the service was horrid! We are visiting from out of town and completely unfamiliar with the protocols. When we arrived, there was a sign that said “wait to be seated”. We did. And no one came. They looked busy. We waited. Then a guy eventually came out and asked, “y’all are just waiting for takeout, right?” I said no. He disappeared then came back and said follow me. He had only seen me, and not my large family. I said, “you have room for all 7 of us?” He found 2 tables beside each other and seated us. We ordered. And waited. And waited. Finally the food came. It was good. We ate. We laughed. We choked. We tried to find our waitress (Wendy/ Wen Pan) to refill our drinks, but she was nowhere to be found. We flagged down another waitress. She had to go find our waitress. 15 minutes later she came and asked if everything was alright. We asked for refills. She came right back with those and then disappeared. Meanwhile all the people who had been seated after us, had already received their tickets, paid, and left. Our group was supposed to get 2 separate tickets. She didn’t come. So we had to find her. Of course they had forced gratuity on both tickets. At a high percentage and not the minimum percentage. So I just tipped a waiter wayyyyy too much for not even doing the minimum normal waitress job duties! She of course never came back to collect our pay after giving us tickets. So we walked up to the pay station. She ran the card for one of our tickets. Then asked for the cash on mine. I pointed to the table and she literally physically shoved two of us aside and ran to the table to get the money. I waited for my change. But once again she left. I was still standing awkwardly at the counter/drink station thingy when I caught sight of her and asked where my change was. She immediately ran behind the counter to give me my change. We left. It is not worth it, folks! Not worth it at all. I got a mountain man burger. It was not dry. It was good. In fact all the food was good. But all the food was overpriced and not worth the service frustrations!! Oh yeah and my son ordered Mountain Dew. Which they apparently only carry via cans. So I got charged extra for every refill he got! And I absolutely LOVE that the casino is separated! I only eat at places where the bars and gambling are separated. That...
Read moreThis place was fantastic. We arrived unannounced to a full restaurant with an extended party of 13, aged from 3 to 64, which seemed to be a few more than the biggest table size could readily accommodate. The gentleman who greeted us seemed a little at a loss, but we asked if we could just squeeze into their adult gaming room (looked like video poker or something like that), which had a couple tables and chairs for about 10, so they just brought us a few extra chairs. The service was quick, and VERY friendly.
The gentleman who served us was either the owner, or a manager, and VERY proud of his establishment, not in a boastful way, but in the way you like to see from someone running a business. You KNOW those people are going to do their best to take care of you.
Various members of our party had pizza, a salad, and several plates of (on that night) all-you-can-eat spaghetti. The spaghetti was delicious, but only 1 of the 4 people that ordered it could eat more than the 1st plate. The others that had pizza and salad were also happy with their meals.
I'd also like to say something about the kids meals: It drives me absolutely nuts that many restaurants that serve good food and charge accordingly skimp so much on the kids meals. Yes, they're cheaper, and thus should be smaller, but many restaurants take this to the point of absurdity (I'm talking to YOU, Marie Calendar's and your silver dollar sized kids hamburger patty on a full sized bun!). This is NOT a problem you'll have at Gusher. Two of my children actually brought over their hamburgers to show us how nice they were. I was pleased.
Now, for transparency, we arrived somewhat ravenous. They gave us good food, fast, with friendly service, and then, to top it off, the bill was more than reasonable. But then again, isn't that what you're...
