My sister and I stayed at this hotel and found a bedbug on our bed. We immediately reported this to the front desk (and brought the bug down to them in a bag) and then proceeded to spend the next four hours disinfecting all of our belongings and washing/drying clothes. We were up until 3am trying to make sure that we didn’t bring them back home. I spoke to multiple managers and the president of the company, Brenda. Brenda was extremely rude, condescending and dismissive. She proceeded to say that I didn’t report it fast enough despite us telling management right away and then when I couldn’t remember the managers name she snapped at me and said why was I calling so fast to report the incident without that detail. I felt like nothing I said was going to make a difference. She blamed the bedbug on us, stating that it couldn’t have been an issue with the hotel. No compensation was given, we didn’t even receive an apology.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. I’ve never been so poorly treated at a hotel and was shocked by the lack of empathy with this situation. It would have taken little effort from Brenda to speak to me with respect. Good luck trying to rectify any negative experience you have at this hotel.
UPDATE: In response to the owners comment, at no point during our stay did we say we were comfortable at this hotel. I never spoke to the owner in person, which means their information was given to them by staff members. The same staff that blamed us for the issue and is now apparently putting words in our mouth.
I also never saw an inspection report or given the inspectors information to verify that any check was actually done on...
Read moreRead before booking. There was nothing major wrong with this hotel. There were several little things. We stayed in July. Start with the price, I understand that location determines price so normally you would expect to pay double normal rates for a peak season in a tourist area. I have stayed at hotels for around $120 that are somewhat comparable to Clubhouse Inn. If you take that rate and triple it then you have the rate that I paid. The hotel is not worth it. The décor was 10 years outdated, everything was mostly clean, breakfast was barley edible, but the staff was so of the worst that I have seen. Housekeeping was out in the hallways at 7:30am stalking the rooms to see if they could turn them over, I could not even get down our hallway while they were there. I spoke to the manager about this and he just said, “I will have a talk with them.” Nothing to the effect that oh they did not need to be there that early or sorry for the inconvenience. Other staff that I encountered were not friendly at all, they would not acknowledge that you said hi, or make eye contact or even standup at the counter when come there to check in. I got the feeling that that hotel is only there to make money and not about make the experience at Yellowstone a memorable one. The breakfast offering was one of the worst at a hotel that I have had. Everything was reheated or stale. Also the staff working the breakfast area was on their phone the whole time and barley did anything to refill or clean...
Read moreWe have stayed in many hotels over the years, but this is hands down, one of the best hotels that we have stayed in. This hotel is so clean and welcoming when you enter.
There are so many little thoughtful touches at this hotel. There is the free Ice-cream bar in the lobby from 4 to 6pm when you are checking in. That is a welcome touch when you have been driving in a hot car for a while.
Then there are the S'mores and hot chocolate that the hotel provides each evening ao that you can go to the fire out front, meet people and have a tasty evening snack.
The pool is refreshing and fun for the kids. The hot tub is at a comfortable temperature as well.
The room was clean and restful.
The free breakfast is quite good and the staff manning the breakfast room are so hardworking and humble. They truly enjoy serving others.
Finally, the hidden gem here is the lower level of the hotel called Zero Level where they have a huge screen with movies playing, shuffle board, air hockey and then video game consoles with tons of fun games to play together. It makes for a truly fun and relaxing time with the family. Isn't that what a family vacation is all about?
I highly...
