It was suggested I rent a certain lens for our Yellowstone Wildlife tour. I decided not to go with the companies they suggested and went with Yellowstone Camera Store. I am so glad I did. I was there at 8am to rent a 150-600mm lens for our first day in Yellowstone. I wish I could remember the name of the man who rented me the lens, but he spent almost an hour with me giving me tips, changing how my camera is set up, showing me how to use the lens. Chris was also there to give his input and to assure me that I wasn't doing anything wrong by keeping only 10 photos of 200 I would take. I was so impressed with how my pictures turned out, that when I returned the rental, I purchased the exact same lens, brand new. I wish he had been there when I purchased the lens so I could thank him again and tell him how much he helped me take photos that I thought I could never take. If you want to rent or purchase, I recommend this store and the people who work there. They are all amazing, and they want to make sure you are going to get your money's worth plus have a great experience. I've added just three of the amazing photos I was able to get using that lens, and the new settings for my camera. I stopped in the store, to pick up a micro sd card for my camera, and was told that " your camera is an old 2006 model... you cant get those cards, they are not available". They added "we can sell you a new camera...:". Well, nice try, but the cards are VERY available, and that particular camera is a very good camera. I have a few very expensive, very new cameras, I just needed an sd card for the camera that i use when i go into dangerous terrain when there is a chance of dropping it down a cliff face or into a body of water. I already knew the cards are easily available, I had just forget to pack a card for that particular camera when we left our home 900 Miles away. If they dont sell that mini sd card, all they need to say was " I'm sorry,we dont stock that model" , not try to convince me that the cards are no longer made or sold. I KNOW they are, I buy them frequently. Other than that, our visit to the store was great.( and I ended up using my new camera, and I didn't lose it off...
