Came here with my mother. First, they served her the wrong steak, then brought hers out, the entire plate had been microwaved. I had the chicken alfredo. Some of the most bland sh*t that I've ever had.
When they did bring the correct steak to her, it was over cooked (ie well done). Her vegetables were mush (microwave) steak (tenderloin) too tough to eat(microwave). Her plate had clearly gone to another table. Her baked potato already had sour cream in it, they didn't even bother to replace that. No apology, nothing.
Now my meal was so bland that I had to season it myself four times, just to taste anything. It tasted like cheap buffet alfredo sauce that you buy Pre-made. Under-cooked noodles; I don't mean al dente, I mean not cooked properly at all. Also, there were all the dark brown chewy spots from being stuck to the pot. Noodles stuck together. Oh, let's not forget the pre-made frozen garlic bread slices. I ended up eating mine after what I know was adding far too much salt just so that it tasted like something. The chicken was almost the saving grace, until you keep finding all the super fatty bits that chew like rubber.
Afterwards, my mother informed me that her steak had already been cut into. Most likely by the other customer that it was originally served to. They didn't even make her a fresh steak!
If I had known at the time, I would have just left.
The sever came and asked us how it was, and before either of us could reply, he said it for us: "Absolutely awful?" Yep, he already knew. Still no apology, no discount or even an offer of dessert. Oh, forgot about the syrup from breakfast that my mother cleaned off the table herself. 7pm, the table hadn't been wiped down since breakfast. The server even made a joke about the day shift because of this!
It just seemed like they had the attitude of "They're tourists, we won't have to see them again".
"Chef/GM, I can give a a great alfredo recipe, all it takes is a little knowledge and skill to make. I can also teach you how to cook pasta properly. It's not difficult.
Save yourself, avoid this place at all costs. We might check out...
Read moreI don't normally give low stars for something unless it's pretty bad. However; I cannot in good conscience give this place a high score on anything experienced. They get two stars because they are doing really well in the COVID world and being clean. But, check this out. We booked a room for 4 days and 3 nights. We booked a room with three beds that looked to be pretty large and looked like was at least 4 stars. We call a day in advance and apologize that we couldn't get someone to watch our dog so we had to bring her.
They were understanding and kind and booked us the same "quality" room but one that allowed pets. Also, this room cost about $100 more per night which included their $25 dollar pet fee. So, we walk into our twice as expensive room, remember back to all these beautiful pictures annnnnnd we now have a room with two beds for 4 adults that is the size of a shoe box. Literally looks like was pulled directly out of the 60s. The air conditioner tries its hardest to cool the closet it is in but can't cool the rest of the shoe box and simply isn't worth the $200+ price tag that comes with the room. Also you get a "complimentary" breakfast. It lists ten items that are "complimentary" but what they don't tell you, it is really a coupon for $8 dollars off per person per meal. So, the breakfast burrito is $9, but on the list of "complimentary" items. Really though it would cost you $1 for the complimentary item.
I normally do not complain, but seriously you're charging me over $100 more a night, which says costs $25 a night on their site and doesn't limit rooms, I lost space, I lost a bed and 4 adults now can't sleep comfortably like promised, is 50 degrees outside and my room is probably 86.7.
Completely unacceptable to false advertise and then downgrade a room to bargain quality at 5...
Read moreStayed here for 3, sleepless, nights. Pros: 1.Great location. West Yellowstone entrance is literally right down the street. Easy access to all food/shopping in West Yellowstone. Rooms are outdated, but clean. Room service staff is excellent in cleaning the room and changing towels daily.
Cons: 1. We stayed in the lodge area, king size bed room. Bed was super hard, like sleeping on the ground type hard. Pillows were super fluffy so it was a bad combo for comfort. The window a/c was loud and it constantly turned on and off all night. Once the unit turned off after about 2 mins of run time, the room would get instantly warm and uncomfortable…then bam, the loud a/c turns on again and it’s startling. So all night, on and off went the unit, then cold to hot temperatures all night. Super difficult to sleep and made for very tired days when visiting the park. The hotel restaurant was closed our first night there (due to health inspection issue), then re-opened the next night. We had a long day and wanted to get dinner (8pm timeframe) and service was terrible. Ordered drinks, then we were served complimentary stale and cold jalapeño cornbread muffins. Super spicy and not sure why they would serve spicy cornbread like that as a starter. I saw kids spitting out the muffins cuz it was so spicy. We waited 30 mins for our drinks and when we asked the server to check on them he said, “Everyone in Yellowstone wants dinner right now” and walked away saying he will check on our drinks. He walked back into our area, went right past our table, and started chatting with another table without even giving us an update on the drinks. We cancelled the dinner and left (we have never done that before!). I understand being busy, but that treatment was...
