The Room - Wichita — Attraction in Wichita

The room/Matt was a life saver with Covid shutting down the cities/towns/businesses/country for weeks on end. We decided to check out “The Room “with our kids due to them never doing an escape room With us before and it was such an amazing time/experience that after we finished the temple of tinar room (which was challenging for us) We decided to do the Lucky lady saloon room as well, both rooms were amazing and Matt was awesome with his clues/help when we hit the red button and the conversations we had with him made us feel like we’d known him forever. Him and his wife do a great job with the room set ups and concepts. Hands down the best escape rooms we’ve been to. Before we left today we also got to peek in the 80’s room which reminded me of my childhood room that I shared with my sister tape on the floor and all 😂 We will definitely be coming back to do that room and we also have a trip Planned to the Hutchison location to do the other 2 rooms that he has there soon as well. Hands down the best money we’ve spent in a long time on a family adventure/day outing. So again thank you Matt for making our first family trip to your escape room an amazing time for us and our kids. Had a great time playing these rooms! Really nice staff, excellent room decor, and lots of fun puzzles. Love that they take your picture with you time after each room. Midnight - Absolutely beautiful room! Very authentic feel. Tons of puzzles. The room was painfully linear and hinged on some riddle-type things that were not intuitive at all. It felt clunky and awkward to work through. The room didn't flow well and was mostly a series of locked boxes. Despite the drawbacks, we enjoyed the room very much. Area 51 - Loved this room. Solid set dressing with some fun, innovative quirks. Downside is some puzzles require outside knowledge with no way to solve unless you just know it. While they were quick to offer a hint if needed, I prefer rooms that can be solved without needing to know outside pop culture facts. This was still my favorite room. Temple - Amazing set dressing. Loved the 'booby traps' but would have appreciated a better heads up, as it upset a member of our group pretty badly. We were visiting Wichita and had SO much fun doing The Saloon escape room. The room was setup very nicely. I appreciated the fact that they used so many different types of locks and there were many interactive working parts within the room. The owners are very nice genuine people and they were even kind enough to show us their other 2 rooms. You can tell that they are passionate about what they do and really want to make their customers have a fun cooperative experience. I highly recommend this establishment and would revisit over and over again if I was local. I will say that it was pretty difficult even though we're familiar with cyphers and riddles. If I could make a recommendation it would be to assign difficulty levels to each room- beginner, intermediate, and advanced to help customers gauge which room would fit their skill level. 😊 Overall, a memorable experience that I'm very thankful for.
