I honestly never leave bad reviews, or reviews period, but I’m utterly disgusted by my experience at Milkfloat. I’ve been a regular at Milkfloat for 3 years now, and have always been pleased by the establishment. But recently, one new hires have been out of hand. I often go to study or work and have always been quite fascinated with the cold brew, and while studying this past Friday evening, I watched as the male barista sped it up and made a comment about how it wouldn’t taste as good but he didn’t care. And that wasn’t the worst of it. While waiting in line to order, the two girls working were absolutely amazing - they were helpful and talked to every customer, and while one was making drinks and the other was ringing someone up, I watched as the male barista looked at me while waiting in line, turn towards the sink and not help anyone. The two girls were running around trying to keep up with the insane line they had, while he didn’t help at all. When I finally got my pastries, one of the girls was super helpful and nice, and when I got to the register, he came to ring me up, and absolutely ruined my experience. He didn’t talk to me just gave me a price, and wasn’t friendly at all. He kept talking over me, I could barely even get my drink order out without being interrupted. I was prepared to leave a tip for the girls, but was stopped because i refused to give him my money. I hate to say it, but I don’t know if I even want to come back to milkfloat after this. Nothing in my 3 years of being a customer here has ever upset me like this. I felt disrespected, and ignored, and honestly, extremely disgusted by his behavior, not only towards customers, but towards his treatment of what they serve. I felt bad for the two girls working with him, and I hope they got tipped well, because he was absolutely no help. Please be better Milkfloat, this is...
Read moreI want to be a big fan of this place, I really do. I've been looking tirelessly for a good bakery here in Wichita and especially one with a good slice of cake. Sadly, I can't say that about milk float. The only dessert I've ever liked was their vegan fig pie and I'm not even vegan! It was moist and flavorful. Another I can think of was this pumkin bread, same concept it was moist and flavorful! My one big disappointment is their cake in a jar which are almost always dry, and the frosting is way too buttery it coats your mouth entirely. There really is no flavor to their cake frosting. I've come here multiple times and bring all my new guests in town to try this place out. I love the innovation and love of dessert they have. By no means am I not ever gonna bring my friends here but I'm starting to not want to order any desserts. It's kind of like having frequent disappointment. My dessert standards may be pretty high since I have a baker in my family and am from a larger city that has hundreds of desserts available. Yet I like to give restaurants a few tries before I make a decision to come back or not. For example when I go to milk it's likely that I try almost 3/4 things at a visit. I've been there at least 10 times, but now it's just barely 1-2 items even with their ever changing seasonal menus. The only reason I come back is because it reminds me of home, it's up beat and trendy inside. I don't know if they have music playing in the background but it might help build the atmosphere more. So if things change my honest review will...
Read moreMy husband and I have been enjoying a treat and a coffee a week at Milkfloat for many years.
Today we took two family members with us to enjoy a treat. However, we were stopped by the “trans day of visibility” cookies.
We do understand that Milkfloat can celebrate whatever they like. We also have the right to end a relationship with a business that we see as toxic.
The transgender agenda is one of sterilizing, maiming and creating lifelong Big Pharma customers. It is also extremely anti-woman, as we struggle to regain our sports, style, safety, privacy and so much more. It has set women’s rights back by literally thousands of years.
Which is why our Creator said no to it.
So we feel alienated now from a place that used to feel safe.
Unfortunately, we bought nothing today, and we won’t be back, unless a public apology is issued, which we doubt we’ll see.
Unfortunately, we can’t patronize a place that has chosen such an anti-human, anti-woman and anti-life stance.
The coffee in general was so-so, the treats ranged from dry to decent, so we actually look forward to trying out some other local shops. The location was ideal for us, but Wichita isn’t so huge that we can’t drive a little further for a more...
