Sakura (original Harry and Rock location) has a soft spot in my heart because it's the first place I ever tried sushi and grew to love it. There are many options to choose from: sushi, noodle dishes, fried rice and what I enjoy the most, the ramen. Their ramen is delicious! I always get the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen. Their perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs and charred pork belly is so tasty! The spicy broth is very flavorful and has a complexity that sets theirs apart from many other restaurants I've tried. The food is always consistent which all diners can appreciate. I also add a tuna or salmon temaki or any of their specialty rolls to enjoy with the ramen. There is only one chef and one front of the house, so the wait will be longer. They are still social distancing with tables which limits capacity. You'll need to arrive we'll before closing time because you may get turned away because the tables are full. The lady who runs the front of the house works very hard and is attentive to the customers needs and ensures they have plenty of water. Price is comparable to other Japanese or sushi restaurants in Wichita. Definitely give them a try!

When I came in, the place was small and busy, but the staff were super friendly and genuinely wanted to ensure I was enjoying my time there. They had a bottle of nigori sake that I like well enough, the fresh salmon nigiri was exceptional, my favorite bite of the night. The spicy tuna roll was one of the best I've ever had, it was actually spicy. Ever since Kwan Court closed, I've looked for a replacement sushi restaurant in Wichita, while this place doesn't come close in atmosphere, the hospitality makes up for it. I definitely hope to come back again.

First time catching this place. Stopped in at the end of lunch rush for a quick lunch. Waitress asked. I sat at the sushi bar even though there were several tables open. 10 mins after I arrived, the place had almost completely cleared out. Order lunch portion of curry chicken rice. The flavor was good and had just enough spice to it. Also ordered sushi, cooked lobster roll. Was disjointed the sushi came at the end of my meal, but it was worth the weight. I will return again. I look forward to trying different menu items.

We are a family of 7 with 5 young kids. Came in at lunch time on a Friday. We would have easily spent $150 before tip and gladly would have done so to support a local restaurant. The waitress asked us for our order and I tried ordering just for our children first, then would have looked over the menu to order for myself and my husband. She very shortly said “if you’re not ready I’m not gonna take your order. I have one chef only. He makes it all at once. So you wanna order now? You ready? If not I’ll come back.” Now, I understand that times are tough right now. I understand business owners are spread thin and tired. But I am not keen on spending good, hard earned money just to be treated like an inconvenience. If you are just a small group of young adults or a couple on a date with no time constraints then by all means, support a well loved local business that looks to have amazing food. But if you are on a time crunch, have young children with you, or prefer to order more than once (I love ordering as I go but that seemed not allowed here) then take your business...

I am craving their food just thinking about it!! Oh man they have some amazing food there! The miso soup was very balanced in flavor, not too salty or beefy but just right! The noodles were plenty by portion and very good, not too soggy or over cooked. I had the Miso soup with Ramen noodles beef and veggies and it was so good, I ended up picking the soup bowl up and just drinking from it straight! Also we tried to potstickers, the skin was cooked just right that gave off a pleasant taste that wasn't rubbery and was just a lovely burst of goodness in your mouth. We tried the strawberry Mochi, which personally I wasn't that big of a fan, but my hubby loved it! Now the seasame balls where SO good!! Oh I forgot my husband had a egg noodle dish and I got to taste it which was so good too! The wait time is long but I asked the lady owner and she said there were only 3 that worked there, her her husband and a cook. So I would recommend just being patient with them because the food was WORTH the longer serve time. I can't...
