My son rented from these guys when we were in Wildwood NJ for an off season function they charged him $30 and told him he had to have the bike back at 630pm. At 5:45 a woman on a bicycle approached him and screamed at the top of her lungs to come back with the bike like he stole it. The boardwalk was full of people and her approach not only embarassed my son in the presence of hundreds of people but also made him feel as if he did something wrong. My 11 month old Grandson was startled by this womans approach as well and then she stood in front of us as we unloaded with her hands on her sides and a scowl on her face and was looking for a fight I didnt get her name because as soon as she figured out I was my sons mom she remained quiet the rest of the time and then as we were walking away she made a smart comment to her mother about us. Rude doesnt even begin to explain this womans behavior and she should not be in the public eye and should be releived of her duties. Honestly what was he going to do.. Leave state with the bike considering we were 7 hours away from home. What remotely was her train of thought when she acted as if he did something wrong. Lets not forget all the wonderful people she stopped on the boardwalk and said things to as she was riding down about my son.. Just an FYI this bike rental place was down by the convention center I would strongly suggest not renting from this place as long as that woman remains employed by them. And go up by the boardwalk mall and rent off the nice gentlemen that are by the ramp there. Cause this may just be your child or grandchild next this woman does this too and youll be just as mad as I was when I saw her wonderful customer service...
Read moreArrived a bit early for check in so my son and I decided to go to the boardwalk. We saw this bike rental and decided to stop. I told the gentleman working that we wanted to take them down the boardwalk to check out all the places to eat. He told us to pay, which we did. Told me we had 90 minutes to ride and pushed us along, telling us to make sure we walk it up and down the ramp to the boardwalk. My son and I made it about 100 yards when a nice police officer stopped us to tell us that we can't ride on the boardwalk after 1pm. It was 1:28pm. I advised him that I just rented it from a gentleman, explaining what our intentions were, and he never said a word!! The officer told me that "some are known for this" and advised he had just stopped 3 other bikes all who this same gentleman just rented to, none of whom he told the boardwalk was off limits after 1pm. When I returned (not even 15 minutes later) he refused to even speak to me about it telling me he already had my money!! I couldn't believe the lack of empathy this man had. We were planning in renting bikes every day for the rest of the trip that he just lost out on due to his HORRIBLE customer service. Not a way to get a retuning customer but with his attitude he doesn't care because he already has...
Read moreWent with friends to have a fun morning of bike riding. It was chaotic and disorganized. The lady dictated what bikes we should ride and wasn't very pleasant. She ended up injuring my friends daughter's foot when she grabbed the bike and began to push it back while her mom paid. The wee girls foot got stuck in the pedal. It was bruised and swollen immediately. The lady had no empathy/sympathy. She did not acknowledge she did anything wrong and dismissed the fact that the wee girl was screaming in pain. She literally shrugged her shoulders as if it wasn't a big deal. Instead of making a scene my friend took her daughter back to the hotel to ice the injury and make sure she was ok. I could not beleive how inconsiderate the lady was. It is suppose to be a family business. Youd think they would be more concerned for their...
