This place is a family friendly place. Newly done rooms, to give it that new & very clean look to the room( the room was very clean) A very well kept pool & area where family can BBQ at. The staff amazing & the person at front desk was very nice, greeted us with a smile & a towel on her head, right fully so, when we forget our key, fifteen minutes after office hours. We definitely come back again. I would only have to say, that I would suggest to get anything you decussed & verified it twice , in writing, we where promise a 2pm check in, just in case we arrive before 3pm, it was important to us, because my mom has under line health issues, where she can not be in the heat for long, She would have a hard time breathing & can pass out. (With covid, you can not found anywhere to cool off while waiting, there is no bathrooms provided no where close to that kind of place. ) So when we had arrived at 2:45 pm, I was happy to know the room should be definitely ready. But this was not the case, we waited 1 hour & 25 minutes. My mom was having trouble breathing & I actually was not feeling as well myself. We needed to cool off first, but then we found out the air conditioner was not working, seemed no relief that we needed A.S.A.P, we decided to tell about the air & we jump in the car & get some car air conditioning, & drive to a restaurant, since we haven't eaten in long time. My mom was disappointed, because we couldn't get in anywhere because of the late check in & the air conditioner, so we had do pick up & head back to the room, in hopes the air was fixed. She did us one better, she replaced it with new air conditioner, she did come through in a great way! Greatly appreciate. Suggestion, confirm in writing. I asked if we can make up for the set back since we where only staying 2 night & please give us a 10:30 to 11am check out(I asked nice), because of the wait. I got a firm no, checked out at 10 am. I also map out where to go if you are left no room because, we went to breakfast & was able to leave the car at the hotel. To our surprise, the diner offer NO bathrooms. With 2 cups of coffee in me, I ask another question to the lady at the front deck about bathrooms & she No cant bathrooms not here( I wasn't asking about the hotel having one but now I thought, knowing the heath issues & what it happened, she would at least to make an exception.) But I Digress, also told me all public bathrooms are not open, so right now, if you do not have a room , you will have to drive awhile for one. Ok, I swear I like this place alot⣠The reason I say I would come back is because,I think it was the room it self #112. One we like to do in the morning is to drink coffee outside the room in the morning & at night, the web site said 2 chairs & a table provided outside your room but again we where told because you are the last room at the steps the enter & exit for everyone & where they unload their cars. A very simple thing we what was not provided & the heavy foot traffic we got , it was not pleasant, NO fault of the guess of course. So that is why I say yes I would go back, if it is anyother room & that we where able to check-in at the time the website has listed. Without these couple of bumps , I think it would of been prefectā£ā£. So do your homework & comfirm the time & will have a...

First things first, the Dolphin Inn location is pretty awesome! Block away from the beach and boardwalk. To get to some of the attractions it is a walk which we didn't mind, good exercise!
The rooms at first looked amazing and up to date! With more inspection this changed my mind and my thoughts on the Dolphin inn.
The room had an Oder of smoke and mildew as soon as we walked in. I'm not a smoker so this bothered me I brought Febreze to fix that issue...
The floors didn't feel clean walking bare foot... I had a layer of dirt walking around and gritty sand which made me wonder if they even clean the floors... not just sweep but mop them...
The beds appearance wise looked great! But then they were questionable after finding hair in the bed sheet of not only one but BOTH of the beds... This grossed me out so I immediately informed cleaning services/management in a calm polite way, at this time it was 8:30 or 9 pm. Thankfully someone was still on the premises.
She replaced them immediately and apologize that this wasn't the first time someone has complained. That they had a "cleaning" service to where they send out the sheets to get cleaned. She showed me as she was replacing and inspecting the new sheets they had dull stains that were there but they were clean. They came out of plastic wrap... Okay.
Here's where I question this... I laid on the bed as soon as she left. THE "NEW" clean sheets she just replaced on the bed realizing my whole back was getting wet! The ones we have received were DAMP... We checked the other bed, didn't have this problem. She also replaced the blankets too but they were warm as if they came out of the dryer... "Cleaning service?"
The kitchenette was clean, opened the freezer to a strong bleach Oder. Which is good. The kitchen had pots, pans, mugs, plates, silverware, toaster oven and even a coffee pot! Wine drinkers there was no bottle opener... Overall this was very pleasing. Outside they have grills to use. We used our own spatula from the room which we cleaned. The ones on the grill where gross...
The bathroom smelt clean but the shower curtain had a yellow tinge at the bottom which made me wonder if they were at all clean... They provided shampoo conditioner, bars of soap, Toilet paper, blow dryer and towels.
The pool was clean, outside chairs had some black spots but I put my down my towel it was whatever. The have a place on the side to rinse off the sand from the beach.
Would I stay here again? YES, but I would bring, my own sheets, a broom, Febreze and I would request to be on the TOP FLOOR... ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR YOU HEAR EVERY STEP OF THE PEOPLE ABOVE YOU!
If you're a light sleeper bring noise canceling buds just in case the neighbors above you start running around 1:30 am... which is past...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter searching reviews and availability, my son and I booked a room at the Dolphin Inn through Trip Advisor/Capital One for 3 nights. We were told check-in time was 3:00 PM but upon checking in we were advised check-in time was 3:00-6:00 PM - a loss of a half day at a costly rate. On check-in I was required to put my initials on a full page of "rules for me and explanations from them as to what would be the "rules" for our stay (unfortunately, I did not get a copy of that document). Then we found out there was no room service; we had to put our used towels on a chair outside the room to get clean ones. The bed linens would be changed on the third day (we left on the third day). I called before going to see what type of coffee pot was in the room and was told it was the usual drip type (it turned out to be a 2-cup pot with a cone type filter but we did not get filters from them for our use. |There was plenty of soap and shampoo but no stopper in the bathroom sink, no carpet on the wood floors to keep you from slipping. The commode was very small and there were no safety features in the tub. |There were unfinished parts in the room - in the corner in the bathroom, over the entrance door. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. There were no rules for the swimming pool and the children took over while their parents ignored their behavior. |Parking was supposed to be for tenants only but if you went out and didn't return until later in the evening, finding a space was very difficult.|The office was closed at night and even in the day time. When we checked out at 10:00 AM, it was closed but after calling the number someone came to the door (we left our key in the box outside but felt we should let them know we did so).|My son and I will never return to the Dolphin Inn and will not recommend...
