update July 2024 - i was at this station from 2-2:45 and the building was open no matter what the website said. Review changed accordingly.
According to Amtrak's website, this Amtrak station has an indoor waiting room that is open daily from 11am- 1:00 pm and again from 4:45pm-6:45pm. I confirmed this with an Amtrak employee at the 800#. My train arrives at 12:58 pm (I get a possible 2 minutes to get off the train and use the waiting room to wait for my ride). Even worse, my departure time is 2:33pm for which I need to arrive 30 minutes ahead. This is Wisconsin, known to have wind chills that run significantly below zero (not to mention rain, snow, wind). Read moreI went there to get a printed schedule of train runs because those online were of little value. I didn't find any but I got familiar with the train station. It was decently kept/maintained. There were even restrooms. There was a little car parking but the related information was confusing and incomplete. It look like you could get an approval to park a car for a short or a long period. I wonder how long is short and short is long. I was surprised there were restrictions on carry-on luggage (size, weight, and number). But anyway, I took many pictures hoping some may help eventual...

I did not receive any discounts or refunds for this inconvenience and was extremely uncomfortable! Absolutely my last time traveling...
