This was absolutely the scariest experience and we had to call the cops. I have never had such bad interaction in a foreign country let alone anywhere. I have traveled so much and no where was I treated with such horrid service. We are all a big group of 11 traveling with kids and when we arrived at the hotel we walked into the check in and the owner and receptionist of the hotel gave us rooms which were in horrible conditions than what is shown online. We didn’t expect 5-star quality and we know what we paid for but this was an all time low. The Owner and receptionists name is FARAN MOHAMMED. When my uncle went to talk to him, he started to ask about the rooms and the owner threw his pen and started yelling at us. He told us to go to hell, he said he didn’t care about where we went or where we stayed and he started screaming as he left the desk, screamed profanities at us, and swore us out in Hindi as well. The profanities he screamed in Hindi were unimaginable. My dad said this is not how you treat customers and this response was unacceptable and that we would call the police, since the kids were actually starting to cry at this point and we were scared for our safety, to which he said idgaf what you do and left to go smoke again, and said he had a great lawyer anyways. We called the police and they said they would come and a group of 7 officers basically told us off and said it’s private law so we had to leave. Not only did we get verbally assaulted but then rather than helping us or protecting us, we were forced off the property and the owner got off with no issues. While we were putting our luggage in the elevator, I heard the guy laugh like a maniac and the police were laughing and joking to each other in German. Basically we were left with no safety, no help from the authorities, and the owner got off scot free. I have never feared more for a situation and considering we were in a foreign country with no sense of protection or help from others, the possibility of what could have happened are unimaginable. From what I understand, the owner, FARAN MOHAMMED, who owns Hotel Evido Garni, and his lawyer probably had some sort of connection or contact since he showed no fear in what he said or how he acted. Considering his continuous smoking and short temper issues he clearly was not in the right state to handle customers of any kind and should not be the owner of anything especially in a customer based business. We were left helpless and are currently still in the street trying to find a hotel or some sort of arrangement but save yourself from a horrible experience and please be safe. We came to experience the beauty of Salzburg and instead have spent the last couple of hours with one of the scariest experiences to happen to me. The most I can do and say is that this hotel deserves no further business and this owner deserves to be held accountable for his actions and behavior. Don’t give this hotel any more business and please be careful especially when traveling alone or with kids and especially if you are a female. Again the owners name is FARAN MOHAMMED from Hotel Evido Garni at Salzburg City Center. I will be reporting his...
Read moreWe stayed here whilst travelling through Germany and Austria. We stayed in many places and this was by far the worst. Yes it was clean but I would never choose to stay here again, before you book please see below.||- Our room had NO smoke detector in, it had been removed and wires showing near the window that had been taped up. Not surprised seeing as the hotel smelt permanently of cigarettes and tobacco.||- The staff are incredibly rude, manners cost nothing. We only saw two staff members and saw nobody else. The reception is not 24 hours.||- no luggage room it’s in fact the dining room, so we had to wait until after breakfast to leave our bags. It is in no way secure. All valuables were taken with us.|||- They seem to like fixing things with duct tape. The skirting boards were duct taped in our room and half falling off, wires on show near the window. Needs some serious maintenance.||- Towels not replaced each day just put in different places which was frustrating as we didn’t know whose towel was whose.||- location for walking into the city was ideal and some nice food places across the road, and if you are lucky you get to see the mountain on a clear day. However!!! you are right next to a noisy petrol station and have to access the hotel through an alley way, for a solo traveller this is not ideal. I would advise if you are going for the location trying the fashion hotel next door. We checked it out.||- breakfast was ok, juice mostly water, some of the cutlery not very clean at all. Ok selection and was included in our room price, but the sheer rudeness from the female staff member the day before ruined our experience. We did not go back for the second day and opted to eat out instead.|||I always base a hotel on would I stay here again, and I can certainly say I would not stay at the hotel Evido again. |I would rather try the hotel next door and pay that little bit more.||I do not think any hotel room should be allowed to rent out rooms with no smoke detector. (Only the mountings where it has been disconnected)|Very...
Read moreI arrived at the hotel at half 1 afternoon and it was supposed to be a nice time to spend with my mum as i have not seen her for a year. The receptionist hardly spoke any language, gave me the card to a room an the disaster started. Once i opened the door the room was still a mess, not cleaned full of smell of cigarettes. I went back and asked him if it is a joke he said to wait for the cleaner to clean it. Me , my mum and our luggage were sitting on the stairs!! for nearly an hour to wait for a room to be clean- that's after travelling for nearly 12 hours. Breakfast, really nothing special, no one actually cares, receptionist nearly never there, cleaning lady comes about 4pm without knocking just opening the door. There is a club right next door so forget about sleeping during the weekends as it fells like your bed is literally in centre of the dancing floor. What really got me was that i took my mum to get a taxi at 5.30am and when i got back i could not get in. Was waiting in cold and rain for hour an half until i decided to go to the building next door an see that maybe i can get it . yes there was a door to get in, from different building and opened , but who cares to tell you!!! I paid nearly 60 euro a night for two and the price says the hotel should be on some sort of level. I would not pay even 20 euro, actually please do t waste your money nerves and time on this hotel. It completely spoiled my...
