We went there with my family (4adults) and ordered 4 main dishes and 1 appetizer( mini egg rolls) and ALL the main dishes was WAYYYY too salty. We thought we got food terror by the owner because we were going to pay credit card but the owner gave us a look and she wanted cash (looked like), so we changed our mind to pay cash. But when we noticed we were little short on cash, we had to change to credit card payment again. Then she was mad and said something in Vietnamese yelling something. Then when we got our food ALL the food (pho, fried rice, won-ton soup, pad thai) was very very very salty!!!!! The only non-salty was fried egg roll as an appetizer which seemed like a market frozen thing. We were looking forward after reading all the good reviews but her attitude after changing our payment option and her yelling at us made us feel like they intentionally put extra salt!!! I guess if you want a really good meal don't upset the owner. Or you'll get...
Read moreMister Le's restaurant has the most authentic Phở dish I have ever tried so far since I moved to Europe. The broth got the finest balanced tastes of sweet, salty, spicy, and citrus, exactly the taste of Phở which I have eaten during my whole life in the South of Vietnam. That's astounding me from the first sip of the broth. Cause many restaurants couldn't keep the full flavor of Phở when Phở is not the only dish in the menu. Besides, his Phở is also full of beef and various type of herbs such as chili peppers, coriander, basil, lime and bean sprouts, which are also hardly served in other restaurants. Maybe because not many people here keen on eating herbs, so may restaurants will cut this out of the dish. This is also the 2nd reason why I love the his Phở dish so much, as herb is an inseparable part of a Phở...
Read moreAfter several days of eating non-spicy food, we wanted to eat some spicy Thai food and Mister Le was highly recommended. A small self-service restaurant almost on the main road with maybe 5-6 benches outside in the open is all the decor that they have. Plates and bowls are slightly chipped. However, what they dont have in decor, they make up in the quality and quantity of food and the really quick service. The restaurant was officially past their closing hours and the 2 people inside were about to shut down. 8 of us ran in hoping that they could still serve us and they were very happy to oblige. The staff will ask you what level of spice you want and if you dont want a high spice level, tell them to not add the red spice powder that they put in over the food. They also serve beer and some basic alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. All in all - a good place...
