Family of four with two teenagers, 15 and 12 years old. We booked the top unit, 3rd floor that has two bedrooms plus a sleeping Loft and it worked out nicely. Very comfortable space (too big for us, three King beds but definitely nice not to see each other a bit).| Ample kitchen. Smart European design and construction throughout that makes you wonder, "why don't we do this?"|There's no air conditioning, but we're not complaining. The house stays cool in the daytime and we opened the windows at night (top floor allows incredible cross ventilation although July and August would be wicked in the lower units). Very comfortable roof top terrace to enjoy the evenings. |Plenty of dining options for every taste within a 5 minute walk... Although cooking dinner (and coffee/ breakfasts) is a nice break from the restaurant circuit.|There's a solid 20+ minute walk to old Town sights but a taxi is less than €10 if you're stuck in a rain storm. Walking helps work off the biers and brats...|Laundry included... Nice way to plan your packing and reset your wardrobe.|There were ants in the unit, not just a few. No big deal.|We're grateful to have enjoyed this unit and be away from the...
Read moreWe are a family of 3 adults and had 3 nights at Villa Salzburg in Hellbrunn II, a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor. The website pictures are very good but the reality is the apartment is bigger, better and brighter. Two comfortable bedrooms, a sitting area with a couch that seats 3, TV with English language channels, and a great kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well equipped including a toaster, coffee machine and microwave. There is a lot of natural light and the apartment is very clean throughout. PIN entry to the building & apartment.|The building has a basement laundry with a|washing machine and dryer, at no charge to guests. |It’s a 5 minutes (or so) walk to a great bakery and local Spar supermarket. The Salzburg bus system is great for tourists and many routes go through the intersection about 100m away. Tickets can be purchased at every stop, and be sure to look for the good value daily ticket. Bus #1 will get you to or from the HBF easily - just get on at the rear of the bus where there is room for luggage. |A great place to stay and we...
Read moreWe had to move out of an accommodation we found on airbnb in Salzburg after staying one night because that Airbnb accommodation was so filthy, and luckily we could find this place at last minute on the morning. We were so pleased with the layout of apt, furniture, bed, couch and decoration and everything. My husband, I and my sister have been travelling, and my sister said couch bed was so comfortable and spacious. Decoration of apt was practical as well as aehsetical. All the kitchen stuff was top notch. There was a garden so alfresco meals are possible depending on weather. We only stayed 2 nights, but definitely we will stay longer next time. Staying at this apt was such a delight. Takes 10 or 15 mins by walking to go to Old Town. Tram stops are a few mins away. Supermarkets are nearby, and a nice pub is 2 mins away....
