Our stay in the apartment Little Piece of Heaven in Room 4 Apartments was a truly memorable and comfortable one. Firstly, it allows for self-check-in, so having arrived in Salzburg at around 8p.m. this was a big plus. Additionally, it is situated just a couple of minutes walk from the old town and city centre, however it is also very accessible by public transport. We used the buses to and from the property quite frequently and we recommend this lodging for its prime and convenient location. We were also offered parking at a cost, however we did not make use of this facility. ||The room itself is quite small, however it is very well-equipped and it suited our needs very nicely. We were only staying for four nights and spent most of our days out and about. However, the property has central heating, a functioning kitchen and even the possibility to make use of a communal washing machine and tumble dryer. In the apartments there are also cups, plates, mugs, cutlery, pots and pans that we made good use of, especially to make breakfast. Supermarkets can be found quite close by as well. Nonetheless, the area is quiet and safe. The bathrooms were nicely finished, albeit very minimalistic. We appreciated the fact that half-way through our stay, we were provide with a change of towels. Having said that, there were only two very small containers with shower gel, so I was glad I brough shower gel from home. I feel that the apartment could also have been a bit cleaner and more pillows could have been provided. We made do with the additional blankets found in one of the drawers. ||On our last day we decided to roam around the beautiful city of Salzburg and the information booklet provided in the apartment indicated that we could make use of the bikes at the property on a first-come first-serve basis and free of charge. There were three bikes available and we got to enjoy our last day roaming around Salzburg by bike, sightseeing, visiting museums and even geocache hunting. ||Overall, the apartment was a good value for money and since the city of Salzburg will definitely call us back for more exploring in the future, we will definitely try to book this...
Read moreWhat I Liked (the bare minimum):|1. Relatively close to sightseeing spots.|2. Room and toilet were clean (the only things that didn’t make me lose my mind).|What I Hated (the unforgivable):|1. No Air conditioner, just hellish heat I assumed air conditioning was a given in any accommodation. Apparently, Room 4 & 5 Apartments thinks otherwise. Instead, they proudly offer a miniature room heater that doubles as a fan (yes, you read that right—a heater in a hot room). When I asked for a proper fan, they gave me a desk fan so small it could fit in a tote bag. Useless.|I had to wait until 11 PM just to fall asleep because the room was an oven. After a long day of walking in the heat, all I wanted was to rest—but the tunnels outside were probably cooler. When I asked how to make it easier for us, they no longer replied to my message.|2. Single Laundry Machine for the entire apartment and you cannot use it overnight The listing didn’t mention that you can only use the washing machine 8 AM to 8 PM. It’s a single machine for the entire apartment. It is a spinner drier combo that takes 3 HOURS per cycle at least if you want your clothes dry but a little bit wet. So if you start laundry at 5 PM, you might finish by 8. Are guests expected to rush back from their holiday by 5 PM just to do laundry? Absurd.|3. Ruined the trip. This was a trip of a lifetime, we thought we had everything planned but this was just the only thing that ruined it. Because we couldn’t sleep until late, our schedule was thrown off. We had to adjust our body clock for the flights and our next country trip—all because Room 4 & 5 Apartments can’t provide BASIC comfort.|Final Verdict: NEVER AGAIN. If you enjoy sweating like you’re in a sauna, fighting for laundry time, and adjusting your entire trip due to poor facilities, then sure—book Room 4 & 5 Apartments. Otherwise, run far away.|Lesson learned: Always check for AC. But honestly, no one should have to. This...
Read moreFirst of all, let me emphasize that we would stay in these apartments for the sixth time. Everything was great, until this year. Rooms are very clean, modern, close to the old town and at a good price. The communication was flawless until now. ||Unfortunately, due to Austrian lockdown, we had to postpone our trip. So we canceled our tickets, got our money back from the airline and then our adventure began with that accommodation.|| As we talked normally about the lockdown, from that moment they are invisible. They never answered to any of my messages, I sent messages to all emails that I have . they are disappeared and they kept my deposit. However, I tried to find them on the phone, a woman answered me and told me that when the employees return to work they will notify me. Of course, nothing happened, even when their quarantine ended and everything is normal in tourism as well. I contacted all the competent services and everyone told me that I have no obligation to pay cancellations and of course they should not have kept my money. Also, to emphasize that I just wanted to change the dates and pay the difference, not to get my money back. And I told them via mails many times.||Of course, I do not recommend it. After five years of staying in their apartments, they are completely unreliable and I lost 330 €||Finally, I would like to inform you that all the other hotels answered me in case we stay to their accomodations, even if they were in...
