Niagara Luxury Suites — Hotel in Niagara Falls

If I could, I would have given this place zero stars. We rented a room through airbnb. The moment we pulled in to the house we felt something was wrong. From the listing, I thought it was a nice room in a "luxury" house, but it was not at all advertised.

I stayed in the car with my baby while my husband went inside to find the room. He got accosted and threatened for going upstairs because he was trying to find our room. He quickly ran out of there fearing for his safety. He didn't even go into the room the we rented. We quickly left. I messaged the host saying what we saw and experienced. He was not helpful at all. I cancelled the reservation right away and reported to airbnb. Airbnb is still investigating because they take safety concerns very seriously.

From what we observed, it was more of a rooming house. Random people were hanging out, smoking, drinking and obviously high on something. It was really really shady and we immediately felt unsafe and uncomfortable. There were at least ten people there, all unrelated, no masks and no social distancing. Guys were holding alcohol bottles and walking around the house. Place was a mess. If we had stayed, we would have been up all night from their partying.

While I was waiting in the parking lot, I saw four or five guys going in and out of the house. They were obviously not guests because they made a call and someone inside had to let them in. They were bringing filming equipment into the house. I had no idea what they were going to go with it and I wasn't going to wait there to find out. It was by far the worst airbnb experience that I've had. I have never left so scared, especially traveling with a baby. Don't be fooled like me. Avoid this place...

DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY HERE. I booked with this host, Johnny, for 2 consecutive nights. On the day of check-in, the host cancelled our booking and proposed another location. He told us we had to stay at a new place on night 1, check out at 11am the next day, and check in again at 4pm for the second night. He promised a discount but didn’t follow through. With very long back-and-forth messaging through the website (while I was trying to enjoy my vacation), it took him a whole day to give us the door codes. We were forced to move our things in and out of the car for storage and back into the accommodations for two nights; this stressed me and my family out throughout the trip.

At first glance, the two places were clean, but not deep-cleaned. There was an exposion of crumbs inside the sofa-bed coating the blankets when we tried to lift it up. There was a stain on one of the towels. However, wifi, parking and soap were provided.

The host could really improve on communication and following through with his words; our trip was soiled with the last-minute cancellations and unnecessary extra effort to reach him. I would not stay here again.

Edit: He wrote a review about us on Airbnb saying we were “dirty guests”. Beware: he will falsely accuse you of making messes. We literally bagged up the garbage and piled the linens together. I have photos and timestamps to prove we left the suites properly. I saw other people write about this problem in their reviews too, so...

We were the little quiet couple who were at first very charmed by the place. Only positive reviews on airbnb app. The room was clean. But at 2:30-3:00, another guest received some friends over and they were walking around with their shoes. We saw that the house is very not well sound proof. We tried to ask the other guest to be more careful, he didn't care. Their little party finished at 4:00 and started again at 7:00 am when they left. We ask the owner to fix the situation many times. He didn't care. I don't understand how airbnb only shows positive reviews, when Google shows a 3.0 scoring. Now we are arguing with the owner for a refund and he is turning the situation against us telling that we crashed the place and that we were rude. Very bad airbnb experience. It is very scary how they handle complaints. This experience made us realize to be very careful with airbnb in the future. The app doesn't show the bad reviews and it is our words against the owner... And he wasn't even...
