I am visiting this place since last three years. I have introduced many of my colleagues, friends and relatives and brought new businesses to this restaurant. However, since last few visits I have noticed a few bad things which I feel might have owners consent. Otherwise restaurant employees cannot dare to do this way.
I had visited the restaurant a few weeks ago with my family and friends. It was over crowded there. We could not secure a seat and was waiting for our turn. One waiter came forward and wanted to hand over a menu and was asking to place the order before hand while we were standing and waiting for our turn. I was too surprised. I am visiting Indian restaurants in north America since very long time and never saw such a disrespectful approach to a customer.
When we sat for the dinner, one waiter was coming to us again and again and was asking for order. We are not able to take one minute to decide what to order, here she comes again! I then told her if she can send her colleague to take the order!
Indian restaurants usually keep mouth freshener mix at the front desk to be consumed after the Lunch/Dinner. Since my last three visits I found that this item is absent. When asked, got the reply: "we have ordered this item but have not received yet". Same answers three times? Is it just coincidence? Difficult to believe. When I asked the lady today at the counter why she is replying the same way since last few times, she replied the same words again however this time with a harsher voice!
This restaurant is good. However, when good business is happening, management usually stops caring about customers. Is that what is happening to this establishment?
I hope the management clarifies this...

Im not at all sure what happened (new management?), but I wholeheartedly regret chosing this restaurant as the location to celebrate my birthday. I talked it up so much (based off of my previous experiences) and was sadly let down and actually embarrassed after convincing my family we should go there to eat and celebrate.
6 months later we come back and everything was different. Starting off with a lengthy 45 min wait time, we watched so many people come in after us, to be seated as priority, even when it is first come first serve seating. The menu has drastically changed, the food was not as amazing as I remembered, and the portion sizes made no sense whatsoever.
FYI: if you are a party of 5-6 ppl (anything over 2-3 really). Expect to wait for unrealistic waiting times. 5 to 10 mins easily can turn into 45mins-1 hour.
Restaurant staff should give realistic waiting times, we honestly would have left and gone somewhere else if they advised we'd be looking at about a 30-45 minute wait.
The "waiting area" is tight and congested, honestly no room to breath. I even had to ask for water during all of this, as I started feeling claustrophobic.
It does not make sense to seat 3 people at 6 top or 2 people at a 4 top during your busiest hours. Management should seriously consider expanding or even a bigger location. Also, reservations for larger parties should be re-considered.
No apologies were ever provided, the whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth to say the least. This will probably be the last time we ever dine-in at Caraway Grill...
Read moreNo value, really. The food tastes on par with any other restaraunt but you're served significantly less. The naan bread is either burnt or crunchy all the time. It's never fresh.
All together they had like 8 butter chicken pieces, and 8 paneer in their $16 dishes. It's really a ripoff.
I dont particularly understand why this place is so highly reviewed. Have office workers in regina not ate anywhere else? Somehow this restrarsunt has managed to brainwash everyone into acting like it's the premium venue for their style of food.
Go to da India curry house, tamarind, or flavors of India instead. The value makes sense there. The bread is good, the portions are fair, and the food is seasoned about the same.
Tiger shrimp is really good there. But 4 pieces for $12.99 just drives home how unfairly priced this place is.
I've gone to caraway numerous times now and every time I am dissapointed, because I think "gosh, I could have gone somewhere else".
Maybe I'm missing the days caraway is good like everyone says, but 7 tries is more than enough opportinity to be good. They have a serious consistency issue. I've never once enjoyed my time there, and h9nestly these days I end up at Caraway by accident, usually because others want to go.
Service was pretty bad. but I don't want to go into it, since everyone has off days and working as a...
