We arrived at our accommodation and were uncertain what to expect inside as the building looks like a large black tin shed from the outside.||To our suprise and delight we enjoyed two nights accommodation including a beautiful breakfast each morning which totally exceeded our expectations. ||The rooms were extra spacious, the bedding comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed with a great shower.||The hotel manager was kind and extremely helpful to us. Each time we would return to the hotel the manager would see us (or hear us) and be there holding the door open.||The internet speed was very good in the common area. We had arrived at the hotel just as Chile started to close borders due to COVID19 so we needed decent internet to change flights and rebook hotels etc.||The location is just a short walk to the waters edge and about ten minutes to the supermarket. There are plenty of restaurants just a short walk away.||I would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting this area...

With a four month baby, I had to be changed twice to different rooms and many things were not working or were missing (no light bulbs, broken furniture, patched-up shower, etc.). It was even incredible to see how many people arrived to be told that their booking was missing!. Breakfast is as simple as it comes: if you arrive late you will be out of it or it will be cold- I got to the conclusion that the owners do not care because people keep staying there passing to Torres del Paine: do yourself a favor and avoid it, maybe they will get the message. You will find some pictures below as example ( I am missing the one with all the dirt and dead flies on...
Read moreThis is a wonderful small, boutique hotel. The location is perfect. The rooms are spacious. We had a room with the view of the water which was lovely. The bed and pillows were comfy. The shower was really outstanding. The breakfast was good. Annie, the manager was above and beyond helpful to us. She knows the ins and outs of how things work around town from rental cars (if you are driving into the park) to the best restaurants in town to tours/ activities you might want to do. She can guide you on anything you need. We had to modify our planned activities a little due to weather and she turned into an advisor for us on that. The hotel is definitely a wonderful place but as we all know, it always comes down to the people and El Muelle is lucky to have Annie managing the hotel. Also, they helped pre-arrange a car service from/to the bus station to help make our travel plans a little easier if you also need...
