Only 2 redeeming features were day staff and walkable to MTR. Night staff - so rude and surly! Same 2 staff each night during my stay. Large group of us travelling so we’d often hang out in the communal area on level 3 after each day of activities. Both staff would use their shift to sleep! I understand night shifts can be tiring but to be so fully asleep that we, as guests, we have to open the door to new arrivals is a joke. Even when we let people in, they’d wake up the staff for them to tut back in annoyance. They would not speak a single word and simply point guests to a tablet to speak to someone online. In one instance, the male staff member on nights was visibly annoyed that our group was keeping him awake. He left the desk, for an hour! Again, we had to let guests in but didn’t know where he was. Turns out, he’d locked the toilet and was inside sleeping!! (Have photos of them sleeping, we made it a running joke each night that we’d become door staff). Room - I expect a small room in HK as space is at a premium but wow, small! I’d already booked a superior queen room but concierge announced they’d upgraded me…to a superior queen room?! Double bed had no space to get to the far side and there was no storage so we were falling over suitcases. 1 leg of the bed was broken on arrival, it was fixed to then break again. Fridge was under the countertop in the room but under so far you had to get on your hands and knees to reach it. The door also opened the wrong way to where it was placed. Shower had clearly leaked into the main room as there was mould around that part of the wall. There was also an open light in the shower with no protection. Cleaning - aware that English may not be the first language or staff may not speak English at all but when they knock and you say no, perhaps come back? No, they walk in regardless. In one case, I was half naked about to shower! They just smiled and continued to clean around us, ushering us to leave! General facilities - ground floor always open at all hours yet door locked on level 3 where the communal area and check in were situated. Referring back to night staff always asleep, if our group wasn’t there, there was no way of getting in. On one day, the lifts were out of order for the afternoon. I understand faults can happen but, lot of stairs to climb and when we did, each set of stairs going up each level were covered in dust and more importantly, used as storage so you had to squeeze up sideways. Total fire hazard! I visit HK regularly, doubt I’d stay at this hotel again.

I booked Dash Queen's Road last minute on September 1 for a stay from September 1 to 3, but only later realized I had mistakenly booked from September 2 to 3 instead. When I arrived and checked in, the hotel staff told me the hotel was quite full, though I found a room online. I requested to stay in the same room but was told no. After further questions, I realized that by downgrading my room type, I could avoid checking out and checking in again. The staff confirmed I could not upgrade back after downgrading, and I agreed On September 2, I left early for work (5AM) with a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. After a long day of work, when I returned around 6 PM, all my belongings in the room were gone. The room has no phone, so I had to go down to reception, but the staff had already left and only security remained. I had to communicate with staff online. Eventually, someone came back, and we searched everywhere, including the trash and storage, before finding my belongings in a plastic bag (white garbage bag) in a different room on a different floor. The staff said the manager would follow up, but after two days, I have heard nothing. It is shocking that housekeeping or staff barged in despite my DND sign — this is a serious safety issue. Overall, this was a very unpleasant and disappointing stay. I do not recommend Dash Queen's Road.

I was a bit scared to stay here after seeing some bad reviews, but it exceeded my expectations 😊 The location itself is good and is a 5 minute walk from Sheung Wan station. It's also walkable to central, michelin restaurants, highly rated cocktail bars, good coffee shops, and a grocery. The room itself had a cozy feel and all the products provided in the bathroom are natural. There are 3 rooms per floor and the exclusive elevator access makes it secure. WiFi, hot water, and aircon were working well. It's true that the walls are thin so you could hear talking in the hallway or their shower/hairdryer, but I didn't really mind it too much. My only comment would be the beds because they were very hard, springy, and uncomfortable after many nights there 😭 Aside from that, our stay was perfect!

Great location, comfortable rooms and excellent security. Would be perfect if they had more social events for solo travellers to meet.

Security: Excellent Comfort: Excellent Facilities: Excellent Location: Excellent Social: Poor Cost: A little expensive but value for money

Mojo Nomad has a mixture of shared and private rooms. Mojo Nomad is in a really central location and is situated a 5 minute walk from x MTR. The hostel is very modern, clean and has a super cool interior. There is a common room in the 2nd floor which has sofas, tables and small kitchen.; here you can make yourself a coffee or tea, fruit and biscuits are also provided. There is a Mexican restaurant attached to the hostel on the 1st floor which is open to guests and the public. To gain access to your room you will need a key card which allows you up to your floor only and your room. I stayed in a dorm, which can accommodate up to 6 people. Each dorm has an ensuite with a shower, sink and toilet. The shower comes fully equipped with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The water power is great too. There is also a hair dryer. Win! There is also another toilet and shower room on the same floor should your dorm ensuite be occupied. The beds are like pods; each pod has a tv, light and electrical point. The pods also has a blind which can be rolled down to provide you with privacy. The beds themselves are really comfortable and the bed linen was clean and included a pillow and light weight duvet. Each pod came with a towel that is replaced daily. Rooms are also cleaned daily. All shared rooms have large lockers which can fit a carry on suitcase with room to spare. At the top of the locker is a metal bar and hangers for which to store clothes as well as an electrical point. The lockers have a key pad which can be set to your own personal code, ranging from 4-6 digits. I loved this feature and felt my stuff was really safe whilst exploring the city. There were not many staff at Mojo (I think I only ever saw one or two reception's)t, but they were friendly. The WiFi at the hostel was really good too. Mojo are also happy to store your suitcase for you, even after check out. The only downside to this place was the lack of atmosphere and social events for solo travellers. The common room was really quiet and never saw anyone in there the whole time I was there. It was really hard to meet people. I did eat one night at the restaurant to see if I could start up a conversation with another solo traveller, but found that the majority of people in there were not guests. This hostel would be perfect if they just arranged for a meet up in the common...

First off, this is indeed not a 4-star hotel. This guesthouse-like establishment needs to update and remove the '4-star' on the profile. There are insufficient amenities, no doorman, and the main entrance door remains wide open even at night - a major security issue. Moreover, there's no proper lobby or front desk, and contacting the concierge requires physically going to the fifth-floor tiny counter (1-person desk). While the building was undergoing construction everywhere, at least reliving that it didn't affect the higher floors where my room was located.

Upon entering the room, it was clear that it didn't match the photos on the website. Despite booking a premier King room, the room wasn’t that big and the bed didn't seem like a true King size. The cleanliness was also a significant issue, with mold in the shower, dust on surfaces, and debris on the floor, as well as stains on the curtains. Despite reporting these issues to the concierge, the response was not very helpful. Additionally, the shower and bathroom sink were clogged, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning and maintenance.

The most egregious problem was being charged almost $300 USD immediately after check-out. Despite reaching out to Dash, there has been no resolution after 24 hours. It's concerning that such a simple inquiry requires this much time, especially considering similar experiences reported by other guests on reviews. Some guests have even waited over months for resolution, which is unacceptable. (I will update the post resolution if there’s any)

In conclusion, this establishment falls far short of a 4-star rating and should be avoided at all costs. You will find better hotels...
