Edited after a full three night stay.
The second two nights out of three were passably comfortable but the room did not meet a three star rating. There was no power outlet beside the bed. We had to cope with an extension cord snaking across the floor, being a trip hazard. Not optimum for seniors who have mobility challenges and need power for CPAP machines. Do not expect this hotel to have those essentials for you.
Ironically, the room at the Annex had a much better bathroom. Our shower drain did not work so taking a long shower was not possible without flooding the bath floor. The bathroom was incredibly small, so anyone of larger size and girth would have really struggled.
On a positive note, the front desk staff were noticeably more polite once they realized I could speak a bit of Crotian. The bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff were very helpful and friendly.
Be aware this hotel caters to package bus tours, and the client demographics may not be the type you would like to spend your holiday with. The pool patio ambiance was ruined by chain smoking, tattooed people using foul language.
If money is tight, this could be the right place but next time I will opt to pay more for a more peaceful experience.
This review is written after one night out of three at this hotel so a disclaimer that the review may need an update if our experience improves. I am a mature experienced traveler who is traveling with another mature experienced traveler. We are North American so acknowledged that our expectations may be somewhat higher.
When we checked in the room they first assigned to us was not the twin split beds I had booked. The only room that has those was in the Annex. The Annex is more like a youth hostel. It is a building next door, but doesnt have an elevator and the room we ended up with was smaller than a lower deck inside cabin on a cruise ship.
The next morning we went back to the desk and asked to be moved back to the main hotel building. We finally got a twin room but it did not have a power outlet by the bed. That was resolved with an extension cord.
First night was exhausting. Let's see how the rest of...
Read morePretty unsatisfactory stay at this hotel, even for the price point. Here’s a step by step summary:
Checking in isn’t easy if you have a car and/or luggage. There’s absolutely no place to temporarily park in front of the building, so either way you’ll be dragging luggage quite a great distance. The man at the front desk also clearly doesn’t understand good customer service; he wasn’t welcoming or friendly and definitely didn’t seem very happy to be there.
The rooms were filthy. See attached pics of the nasty carpet with dirty shoe prints, the rotting door and trim, and the shower that didn’t drain well. The doors to the balcony were in really bad shape as well and would get stuck. Clearly there were plenty of maintenance issues that hadn’t been addressed for a very long time.
The beds were VERY comfortable. Excellent supply and quality of blankets, extra pillows and very good mattresses. Because of the clear lack of cleanliness elsewhere in the room I was concerned about the cleanliness of the blankets, although they did seem clean.
Breakfast wasn’t great. The coffee was absolutely disgusting (machine that didn’t appear to use real coffee beans), which was quite a disappointment. There were some good options for food, but very basic and pretty processed stuff. Not a lot of good quality fresh food, which was a very atypical for Croatia and WHY many people choose to go here.
The internet was fairly slow, though still reliable. Definitely wouldn’t be able to do video calls or meetings with the slow connection. It was still enough to watch a few shows on Netflix.
the location was pretty great. Despite hearing the loud bass of club music pulsing through our room for one of the nights, it was otherwise a quiet area with easy walking access to restaurants and the beach.
Overall it wasn’t a great stay. There were definitely some perks as mentioned above, but I really can’t justify paying as much as I did for such a low quality experience. I highly suggest...

The list of problems is so long, I am going to bullet point.
Balcony Sea view room was our choice during the booking process. The photos shows what we were given as sea view balcony. Certainly not what was book.
Instead of double bed, we were given a family room with 3 individual beds.
Room needs decorating - old and very tired furniture.
Shower and sink water was cold all week - we have mentioned it everyday. On the 5th night at 10pm, we were offered a different room. We politely declined!
Clogged drain in shower - dirt and excrements coming up the drains on one occasion.
Shower products terrible. We bought our own shower gel.
Front door not closing unless locked with key.
Breakfast - pastries hard and no toaster.
Pool - no sun until 1pm. Pool Water is not cold but literally freezing !!! No one swam in the pool in the week we were there - no surprise there.
No pool / beach towel provided. One need to buy some.
Power plugs - only one working out of 5.
Stained mattress / duvet cover.
Air con not working - again, this was mentioned on arrival day.
Bathroom very noisy at night as the ventilation system is a hole in the wall, leading to a court yard.
internet not working most of the time. Don’t even think to stream Netflix.
At checkout we were not offered an apology or discount for the inconvenience. It is clear management places greed / money before customer care/service.
Generally a terrible experience. I certainly didn’t expect a Hilton experience, but this was certainly not a 3 star hotel quality.
The staff however, were incredibly friendly which made it very difficult to complain every day. The location is great, plenty restaurants and only 5/7€ ride to...
