I had a very comfortable stay at La Porta for 4 nights. The room was very nice, clean, modern, well-decorated, and quiet. Toni and his wife were really friendly and helpful. I arrived early and was able to store my bags. Toni arranged an airport transfer for my early morning flight. The hotel is located just across from one of the palace gates, so it is an excellent location. It is located very close (2 min) to a green market, and bakery, and is also close to the bus station (10 min) and port (5 min). Literally just steps from Diocletian’s Palace, the Green Market, and The Daltonist bar (within 15 seconds away!). 5-min walk to Riva promenade, 10 mins to ferry port. Quiet, clean room with A/C, strong shower, and windows for fresh air. Our room had no balcony/view—ask ahead. Pedestrian zone (Uber drops a block away), cobblestones, and 4 flights of stairs. Read moreLa Porta was a nice stay and I would say if meets the essentials. It's more of an apartment flat that has multiple private suits. To get there, you must enter through an alley on the west side of the building near the bakery.
You are able to hear the guests next to you but the room overall is quiet and cool at night.
I only stayed here two nights and that was enough. I wouldn't stay any longer if I had another chance.
