So I just wanted to start with amazing things, and then I'll say a couple of things that could be improved. But overall this place was over my expectations and was a very nice place to stay. Our host was amazing, genuine and nice and you will not find a more reliable and trustworthy person if you go to a five star hotel. (Name: Marin - not the owner of the hotel though) The Location: The location is amazing. It is in the middle of the old town and it is close to everything. It was a bit hard to find since it is in the same building as an art gallery, and it doesn't have a reception desk, everything is managed by your host. And by the way if you like burgers then try the place right around the corner from the gallery. Check-in: Make sure to contact your host about when exactly you want to check in since he does not live in the hotel and needs to get there the same time as you. The Room: We (me and my girlfriend) stayed in the Red room (not actually red). There are maybe 5 more rooms and I would guess they are quite the same. The room was very clean and modern with a very nice bathroom and a big bed - which was a bit squeeky but it was fine. It had a small safe, enough for passports and a small camera but not for a computer, and a fridge (which I turned off - I will get to that later). There was no drawers to place your clothes in sadly, but there was a wardrobe for shirts and jackets, but this did not bother me. The room door key is a card and it is very convenient but if you want to get into the hotel after 10pm - or before 10am you have to use a real key to get into the building. So for the not so good... The room was super hot. I think this was mainly because of the sun hitting the windows in the morning and because of the warm water heater. The fridge might have contributed and that's why I turned it off. The ac was on all the time a on the coldest setting but that did not seem to help. Also, the warm water heater was only on when the card was inserted (for the electricity) so after one shower (10min) you'd have to wait about 15 min for another shower but this really didn't bother me either since I like to shower cold. Cleaning and service: Cleaning lady was very kind and quick. Change of sheets and towels everyday if you want. Check-out: If the room is prepaid the only thing you need to do is to leave the keys and close the door behind you

I want to start by saying this hotel is pretty hard to find. We arrived and did not have a sims card with GPS yet and we asked two locals working nearby for help that was readily given. But even the people that work 40 to 80 meters had to look it up. I want to tell anyone that is going to stay here it is directly across from the Spar grocery store so you don't have any trouble finding the hotel. We were greeted by the owner and our room was exactly as pictured. The air conditioning was a blessing and both the room and the bathroom were very nice and clean. My only suggestion is for larger garbage cans in the room. The owner was very responsive when we needed something and our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. If I am ever lucky enough to visit again I would not hesitate to re book this guesthouse again and hope for...

Marco (the owner) showed up early to greet us at airport and provided transfer (40 euro). He is super nice and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a perfect location. The room was extremely charming. I saw people complain about stairs, it’s a 300 year old palace. Of course there are stairs. Would stay here every time! Not a complaint, but it is in the middle of everything so there is a bit of noise...
