Split Olympic Dream — Hotel in Grad Split

First this establishment is very hard to find in Split especially at night, we have had a reservation here after we had our flight cancelled, we included in the message that we can’t arrive before 23h00 so instead of refusing the reservation they took the money and sent us a message over email saying that they can’t accept us after 23h00 because the reception is empty and they proposed another facility over 4km away, unreachable by transportation. We tried to respond that we cannot arrive but we found that they cancelled the reservation therefore we couldn’t use booking to contact them to tell them we cannot go to the other facility they kept sending message on Booking telling us they are waiting for us for hours in the other facility without us accepting the new place. Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and you can take free water, lemonade, nuts and pastries (they offered these to guests for free if they were left over from the breakfast I think). The rooms were small but modern, clean and well maintained. Great shower! The location is perfect, just outside the center so the noise from outside is negligible, but only a 5-10 minute walk from most attractions in Split. The only negatives are that the internal noise insulation is poor, so you hear other guests go up in the night and down in the morning and that the stairs are very narrow and steep. We were fine with them because we're young and healthy, but if you have any mobility issues these stairs will be a pain without luggage, and impossible with. I am super thankful to Bruna and the hotel personnel for making our stay so nice and special. We got help with taxi to and from the airport, as well as got welcomed by the host to make sure we find the location easily. The room was wonderful - very clean, modern and comfortable. I loved that we had a balcony and could enjoy the sun from the roof windows. I also really loved the area - it was very quiet and yet located in the old town, super close to all tourists sites and the beach.
