Fairmont Golden Prague — Hotel in Prague

From start to finish, the Fairmont exceeded all expectations. The entire staff was professional, friendly, hardworking, and went above and beyond!! You can see that the staff here are held to a high standard but all of them are still allowed to have their personalities come out. The hotel was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff, and it was very noticeable that they take pride in their work. The rooms were kept clean, stocked well with items that you would need during your stay and were very comfortable to be in. The on-site food was delicious and highly recommended. The hostesses at breakfast were VERY polite, the waitstaff was hardworking and on top of their service and the kitchen staff created wonderful food (Female Chef who made the omelettes in the morning was awesome!)

The valet and bellmen out front were nothing short of amazing. They would always greet you (going in or going out) and always had a smile on them!! The front desk staff and concierge desk employees ALWAYS said hello and made sure your stay started and ended well. Anything that you needed, they would be on top of to help provided the best customer service possible.

The location of the hotel is great. If you want to be close to everything, this is the place to be for sure!

Lastly, I would like to give a few thanks you to some staff members at the Hotel. Christine and Zoe at the Front Desk were wonderful! Throughout the stay they were always cheerful, willing to assist in any way and very professional! Both of them always made sure that would group felt welcomed there! The entire security team. Although it is one of the teams not always recognized by guests, they were always visible throughout parts of the hotel that helped give piece of mind to our group! They were super professional but also not intruding within our group. Finally, the workers within the lounge on the 8th floor. They were extremely helpful to a member in my group but always very personable.

My stay at the Fairmont Golden Prague was a real experience. As soon as you enter the hotel, you can feel the special atmosphere created by the successful combination of carefully restored architecture, modern elegance and a deep appreciation of Czech art. The lobby impresses with its generous design, stylish details and a unique collection of glass and art objects that take up and reinterpret Prague's cultural heritage.

The entire team impresses with its unobtrusive, warm friendliness and professionalism - from reception to housekeeping to service in the restaurants. You are made to feel very welcome.

The rooms are superbly equipped and leave little to be desired: steamer, Dyson hairdryer, well-stocked minibar and comfortable beds included. Particularly noteworthy is the view of Prague Castle, the Vltava River and the metronome.

In addition to an indoor-outdoor pool that is unique in Prague, the spa area also offers a garden, several saunas, a steam bath and a wide range of individual treatments. The light-flooded treatment rooms with private terraces and the team are one of a kind.

The fine dining restaurant Zlatá Praha on the rooftop offers a tasting menu that is not only a culinary delight, but also a visual one - the view of the rooftops of the old town is breathtaking. The cuisine impresses with seasonal, refined dishes and an excellent selection of wines. The breakfast buffet is varied and leaves little to be desired.

The combination of the modern Asian bar concept Golden Eye, the roof terrace and the bistro pub on the first floor is particularly successful.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Golden Prague and were truly impressed by every aspect of our visit.

The location is simply perfect – right on the banks of the Vltava River, with a breathtaking view of Prague Castle and the Hradčany. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional level of service: warm, personal, and carried by a genuine attention to detail that made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for.

Breakfast was outstanding – an extensive and beautifully presented selection, with everything of the highest quality. During our stay, a larger group of guests from India was visiting for a business event. The hotel had arranged a dedicated chef to prepare authentic Indian breakfast dishes for them. That kind of thoughtfulness and cultural sensitivity speaks volumes: this team goes the extra mile to ensure every guest feels at home.

Our room was immaculate. Every detail was carefully curated – luxurious and spotless. We were out for a business dinner in the evening, and when we returned, the room had been perfectly turned down for the night: slippers placed neatly by each bedside, a glass of water prepared on each side, curtains drawn, and the bed gently made. These small gestures made a big impression – they speak of a team that takes pride in what they do.
