Golden Prague Residence — Hotel in Prague

It seems like the forgotten step-child of the Intercontinental Hotel. It was extremely difficult for our taxi driver (and us) to find because it's in a hidden spot, tucked away where you can't see it. What we didn't know was that there is no one working in the building... you have to go to the Intercontinental Hotel to check-in; it would have been nice to know all of that before we got there! All of that being said..... we loved the stay. Because it was tucked away and there were not many people there, it was extremely quiet and comfortable, albeit a little dated. The room was large and the location was good - a close walk to the highlights of old town, and it sits right along the trolley line, so it's easy to get anywhere in the city. The apartments are part of the Intercontinental hotel, so you can enjoy all the amenities of the hotel (gym is excellent, sauna and pool, room service etc) without the cost of staying at the hotel itself 👍

We stayed in room 32. The apartment is a little dated but has a good sized living room. Kitchenette has the basics for making a quick breakfast and standard hot drinks. It has a microwave oven, fridge and a dishwasher.

It's located in the Jewish quarter and is a short 5-8min walk to the old town square, so it is in a great location.

Apartments are serviced daily, staff are friendly and there are some great restaurants and bakery best by.

My decision to stay there was changed only after 1 call to that hotel.

I called the hotel to ask about breakfasts. It took four people to answer a very simple question. The first person put me on hold, the second person was not able to explain that Golden Residence was a part of InterContinental Hotel, and was just repeating that I dialed the wrong number.

The third person told me that I could choose "breakfast included" option while booking, and only the fourth person was able to explain that breakfasts could only be bought in the hotel.

Considering the prices of this hotel, the service could have...
