Visited for a late lunch in April 2024.
The service was great. We unfortunately caught the waiter going for a smoke break and rudely interrupted him when we arrived, but he stopped and took us to our table while making jokes. He was great throughout the whole time we were there and made us feel welcome. We were seated in the garden which was really great on a warm day.
The food was a mixed bag. My companion had ribs and corn, which were excellent. I had a burger with fries, and it was perhaps one of the worst I have had. The burger was quite dry with nothing special going for it and the fries weren't really good either. They were served with ketchup only, when a little mayonnaise could've gone a long way.
Waiting time for food wasn't bad at all, but the place wasn't fully packed either.
I paid 600 CZK for the burger and a 1 litre beer (including tip), about 24,5 euros. This was a bit on the expensive end in my opinion.
If you happen to be close by and hungry, and don't mind the price this is a good place to stop. The garden is really nice, just make sure to stay away from...
Read moreWe went there with my boyfriend for our anniversary and there is no better place than this one for this type of occasions: the garden is very romantic, relaxing, beautiful and perfectly maintained: a little piece of heaven in the center of Prague. There is an amazing atmosphere which was enforced by the impeccable and nice service: everyone was extremely kind and specifically the waitress that was serving us was very professional and nice. The same we can say about the Italian chef Giovanni which we had the chance to meet and to make him compliments about the food. We had a starter with salumi, formaggi and delicious figs and onions’ jams, tagliatelle al ragù di anatra e pistacchi which I simply loved and cotoletta fried in clarified butter which gives million points to the chef because almost no one does it! As dessert we had one of the best tortino al cioccolato I’ve ever eaten, there couldn’t be better conclusion of such a nice dinner. I am looking forward to go there again and try the other dishes and enjoy the...
Read moreThe food was awful. My pizza was so salty I couldn't eat much of it. The schnitzel was poorly prepared and also salty. The food took an extremely long time to come out, and the servers were pushy. They kept trying to get us to order more drinks. At least 4 times they tried to push more alcohol on us. When it came time to pay the bill, we found out why. They were trying to get us to spend more because the server told us, "Your total is 850. In the Czech Republic, your tip is not included. 10% is customary, so with the tip, your total is 1000." We were not given a choice of how much we were going to tip or if we even wanted to (we always do). The automatic assumption and addition of the tip was really inappropriate, and 10% of 850 is 85, not 150, so that was a flat out lie. That was just rude. I've also read the responses to other negative reviews by the team from this restaurant, and they point the finger back at the customer for their poor food and service. This explains some of the rude and inappropriate behavior by...
