Scammers! Stay Away!
I was looking for a charming place to stay with my family, and picked out this hotel for its location by the Nile and beside a canal. At first it seemed to fit the description (except that there were towels and shampoo missing from the rooms, and dirty unclean sheets, and mosquitoes, but this didn’t bother me too much). Also the breakfast is not included like in many Egyptian hotels and very expensive compared to local prices (3x that of the closest restaurant). An excursion we organized with them to Dendera (supposed to be a 1:15 hr drive with their “luxury” taxi) completely ruined my experience and vacation in Luxor. Firstly, the price for their “luxury taxi”, which revealed itself to be a rickety old van was way too high. Then about halfway through the trip, we figured out that the hotel had not organized for our travel permits on the way to Dendera so they could make more money off the taxi surcharge. This added about 4 hours to the total time of the trip, with the taxi driver desperately taking rough back roads to avoid police checkpoints. Thankfully we were able to get back to the hotel, whose owner and employees vehemently denied they had done anything wrong (he repeated many times that the driver was not trying to avoid the police over the phone, when the driver was literally swerving and crying in fear when he saw police vehicles). Not one gesture was made towards us to repair this experience and they didn’t even say sorry once. Please find somewhere else to stay, away from these scammers. I think most of the positive reviews here were made as economic arrangements with the hotel for...

I only give them one star because I can´t leave them less.
The beds there are quite hard and there were many mosquitoes and they don´t have drier. The breakfast is paid, 200 egiptian pounds per person which is not bad but in the near restaurants are cheaper
I went there with my wife and at first everything was great. The views were good, the staff were very kind and the location was great, just in the center, perfect to go to the Temple of Luxor.
In the second day the Hot Air Balloon Trip was cancelled because of the weather (ok, that wasn´t their fault obviously) and we couldn´t do it in the next day because we didn´t have many days available.
To go to the Valley, the owner told us that the Kings of Valley closed at 16:30. I don´t understand why LIED to us, that was just stupid.
From here they wanted to take us with their taxi to see the Temples and Monuments that was great but he charged us 500 Egiptian Pounds just to take us to the Kings Valley and to a souvenir shop that we didn´t want to visit.
We also asked if they could take us to the train station because we didn´t have so much time but he said we had to pay more (another 500 Egiptian Pounds) so we almost miss the train to go to Aswan.
So from my point of view I was quite annoyed because he just wanted us to buy them things and they just see us as money, they didn´t care about us, only cared about $$$ Money $$$
I won´t go back to this...
Read moreAmazing view of the pond and very relaxing atmosphere with birds singing and a lovely resident cat. The staff was very kind and accomodating; the let me stay in the room for 4 hours longer after the estimated check out time to pack with no rush and enjoy the tranquility of this haven away from the hustle and bustle by corniche and soak in all wonders of nature before my bus departure. I highly recommend this place to all travellers that appreciate nature more than luxury in terms of room appliances and wardrobes - it's a little hidden gem made with love & care. A bit difficult to reach by foot (sandy road and construction sight on the way) if you travel with a suitcase but still close to everything Luxor has to offer (ferry to East bank is a short walk away, restaurants and shops are 3-10min walk away).
I wish I could stay longer! Thank you for the proper turkish coffee as a...
