Villa Sunrise — Hotel in Al Baairat Village

I am very critical when it comes to rating hospitality services. Am a traveler of many places and not easily impressed. But Mohammed and his team have outdone themselves. This is a place to feel at home and truly relax. It was one of my best travel experiences out of many.

The room and food were excellent. Information about the environment and lots of good personal advice. I had a logistical problem, taking a covid test in time and getting the result before my flight, while I had just one night in Luxor. Mohammed and his family advised where to test and sent someone to pick up the result, while I was doing a day tour elsewhere. Mohammed crossed the river by boat whom went to get the result. When my day trip and lunch finished, Mohammed personally transfered me by boat to the driver on the other side.

I got my negative covid certificate (Mohammed had already contacted me by phone about the result when I was doing the morning trip). Then Mohammed wished me well, the other driver took me to Karnak and was transfered to the airport after. While I arrived, Mohammed called to check if I was happy. And yes, I was! This was probably my single best case of true hospitality and actual professional help on many aspects. The guys were all brilliant. While with the team I knew the full total price for all aspects involved. This was the final price, no ifs and buts and no tips. These were not expected. This made up for all of my less pleasurable experiences in Egypt. Thank you...

Everything about our stay at Villa Sunrise was excellent. We originally booked to stay for 7 nights and stayed for 10 nights. We were genuinely sad to leave.

We stayed in both the upstairs and downstairs apartments, both were comfortable but the upstairs apartment was our favourite. The bedroom has views over the Nile and is light and airy with a lovely domed roof. The downstairs apartment has two bedrooms with an enclosed garden with a couple of sunbeds.This apartment is ideal if you are more than two people as it is very spacious.

Both apartments have a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven and washing machine. Beds are comfortable and shower has plenty of hot water.

What really sets Villa Sunrise apart is the people. The are honest, kind and caring. They really do want you to have the best experience possible during your time in Luxor. It is such a refreshing attitude. Mohamed looked after us and helped us organise so much, from our Luxor passes, which saved us a lot of money and time, to a driver and car and a fabulous felucca trip.

We ate most days in the attached restaurant, the food is great and the team really looked after us.

We were treated as part of the family and were invited to a celebration with Mohamed's family.

If you are looking for an authentic Egyptian experience then a stay at Villa...

As we arrived to Villa Sunrise immediately we felt calm energy from Mohamed who welcomed us. He took time to explain everything and kept reminding us that we should relax. We came from Hurghada and realized how different it is, much enjoyable here in Luxor, and easy to connect to people and see real Egypt. Here we finally were able to see how Egyptian people are nice, everyone who works in this hotel and people they recommend for driving to other cities along Nile and/or adventurous tours in nature. Next time, we come directly to Luxor and do all our experience excursions from here through Villa Sunrise, and there is so much: hot-air balloons, one day or multiple day trips to desert and there are many different deserts from here, trip to Aswan and Abu Simbel, sailing/boat Felucca, and of course all temples and tombs. No wonder writers like Agatha Christie was inspired to write one of her books exactly here.

We felt safe, we made good base for next trip here one day. I felt that I can easily stay here minimum 10 days and still wouldn’t have time to do all things...
