I'm here to put the negative reviews to rest with a good review from an American. My wife (here on honeymoon after just getting married in Morocco) and I got transferred to here from a hotel we booked elsewhere upon landing in Cairo which immediately threw up red flags as the few reviews they have weren't the best. We already had a driver picking us up and decided to at least have a look before aborting.
We're very glad we did. It was clean with AC, mini fridge, balcony, and a super hot shower which isn't always the case in Morocco. That's not all, everything we asked for they got us within 30 minutes including toilet paper, coffee, water, and even some bottles of wine contrary to some of the reviews we read before arriving.
A nice fellow who went by "Boody" and his fellow staff took extra care of us and we are very appreciative. And Menna (nice young lady) took care of at breakfast and speak perfect English as we don't speak Arabic unfortunately.
The hotel isn't perfect as our door handle fell off, the wifi only works on your phone and not on a computer as they don't know the password but only have a QR code to access it, the TV wasn't connected to WiFi so it obviously didn't work and the busy street below is very noisy most of the night but the view is spectacular and I think these negatives are very uniform for most hotels like this in this price range of under $50/night around Cairo . They also have a great rooftop for hanging out open to the elements and great for viewing the pyramids. I'll try and post some photos. From our room in #4 on floor 4 which is the only completed floor for renting I could see the pyramids from my bed. Super cool for us. I wish I had a review like this to read before coming to ease our minds.
Cheers, and check out our YouTube channel @ ashandrichietravel
PS the lil restaurant downstairs and street front make some great food for really cheap. I had chicken and vegetables in a crepe (pita) with sides of some pickled carrots and tazikki...

You get a fantastic view of the pyramids during the day but that's it.
Only one of the staff was helpful and everyone else borderline rude to me (I.E. laughing to each other when not understanding your question).
No toilet paper, you're supposed to wash yourself. Only one very small towel for everything during your stay. No ventilation on the bathroom, you have to open a window to shower.
Room was reasonable clean. There was no plug near the bed to charge your appliances while in bed.
Staff rooms were next to mine and at 6am they were going in and out slamming the doors and speaking loudly as if during the day. At night the same happened until midnight. Couldn't sleep outside of that interval at all. The windows also let all the noise in.
Tried to charge me for a taxi from the airport that didn't come and I had to take one myself. Also the price for this taxi was at a touristic rate (I paid less than half of that)
The building the hotel is at uses the floors 4 and 7 and every other floor is unfinished. Literally brick walls and everything open. If you take the stair you will find homeless people sleeping on those floors.
The guard/door man asked me for money for cigarettes and later on even allowed a rude taxi driver (that was a scammer) to follow one of the other guests (a women alone) up to the reception making said person cry out of fear. The guard only ever stood there watching everything.
The front of the building has no clear signs with the name and given that more than half of it is under construction you wouldn't recognize it as being your hotel until you turn into one of the smaller side street and walk...
Read moreFrom South Africa a group of 7 women. We check in on the 1st of October and check out on the 8 of October 2023 recent experience, i personally had a bad experience actually my ratings is -0. Room dirty shower never cleaned since we arrived, every time we needed to ask for towels, toilet rolls and it was like we are troubling them. They told us that they serve English breakfast that was not true, the breakfast was terrible, you ask for coffee and you will wait for 30 minutes they tell you one minutes, even the staff were unhappy. The so called hotel tidy every where. No hospitality at all, the hotel is still under construction .They fail to complete simple requests, the breakfast take forever There is no smoking zone, they smoke anyway, the noise at night in the reception, they knock at our doors midnight. Terrible treatment ever in my traveling experience. They need to treat guest special the manager was angry with us because we didn't take iterarary the way he wanted us to and he didn't speak to us till last day, we were guest we paid to be there but he wanted to detact our stay in that hotel, to me he was rude to the core. If you ask something they tell you that they will ask the manager first before you get assistant. The advertising shows online and pictures are complete lies. Manager doesn't have managerial skills....
