Farsha Pyramids is a unique place that combines not only amazing cuisine but also a breathtaking view of one of the most majestic historical landmarks in the world – the Egyptian pyramids. From the moment I walked into this restaurant, I was impressed by the atmosphere and surroundings.
Interior and atmosphere
The restaurant’s design is a harmonious combination of traditional Egyptian style with modern elements. Everything in the interior – from wooden tables to local fabrics and decorations – creates a feeling of coziness and true oriental hospitality. Open terraces and windows allow you to enjoy views of the pyramids and the desert, which makes dining here not just a meal, but a real event. In the evening, when the lights of the pyramids begin to flicker, the atmosphere becomes even more magical, and a light breeze from the desert adds a special charm.
Service
The staff at Farsha Pyramids deserves a special mention. The waiters are very polite, attentive, and at the same time not intrusive. The entire service process, from taking your order to serving your food, is top notch. It is also worth noting that despite the large number of tourists, the restaurant has a calm and relaxing atmosphere, and you do not feel rushed.
Cuisine
As for the food, the restaurant offers a varied menu with an emphasis on traditional Egyptian cuisine, but with elements of international gastronomy. I tried several dishes, and each of them left an unforgettable impression.
For dessert, I tried knafeh, a traditional Arabic dessert with cheese and pistachios. It was a real treat! The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and the combination of textures - soft filling and crispy crust - made the dessert simply unforgettable.
View of the pyramids
However, the main attraction of this restaurant is, without a doubt, its location. The view of the pyramids, especially at sunset or at night when they are illuminated, turns every meal into something special. Against the backdrop of majestic structures that have survived thousands of years, the food seems even more delicious and time seems more valuable.
Overall, Farsha Pyramids is not just a restaurant, it is a real journey into the culture of Egypt. Here you can enjoy not only delicious food, but also a unique atmosphere that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of ancient Egypt. This place is ideal for a romantic dinner, as well as for family gatherings or meetings with friends. If you are in Giza and want to get an unforgettable experience, be sure to visit this restaurant! I recommend it...
Read moreThe restaurant is located on the top of the accommodation, so this is a review for both.
Ideal place to stop over for few days if your looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful. You can see the The Giza pyramids from the rooftop restaurant, with these being a stones throw away. They can be reached with a 20 minute walk through the maze of streets and running the gauntlet of the hassling street vendors and the kamikaze drivers / riders.
The place could do with a makeover as it is now looking outdated especially the bedrooms and bathrooms. It is more akin to a back packers hostel than a hotel. So you are roughing it but it is cheap.
If you are a light sleeper you will definitely need ear plugs from the constant noise and beep beep beep of horns that seem to be pastime of the Egyptian drivers / riders from 10 am to 3 am, even if there is no other traffic on the road they are beeping horns as they drive along (thoughtless and stupid!)
There is food all day long including breakfast, lunch and dinner, so options available to eat in if you wanted. From what i tried it was nice especially the fish dish i had.
There are local shops nearby but they do overcharge tourists so only use low currency notes and walk away if things seem to pricey (tourist prices)
Mr Foad communication, kindness and hospitality are good and he can arrange a driver to take you trips and days out, probably a good idea with the very poor standard of driving in Egypt. For me the highlights were the Karnak temple, pyramids of Saqqara and Dharshur and the museums in Cairo and a day trip to Alexandria.
Would I recommend stopping here, yes if you want cheap accommodation and be close to the hustle and bustle for 2/3 days (by day 3 the traffic noise really gets on your nerves!!)
If you are after somewhere more like a hotel with peace and quite and a good night sleep, then i would stick with the bigger chains in...
Read moreWhen you enter the building, it's not obvious that there's a restaurant there. However, if you climb the stairs and continue to follow the music, you'll eventually reach the roof and step into this al fresco restaurant with a clear view of the pyramids. It was a relatively cold night when I dined there (and my hotel down the street had a similar view of the pyramids), so I sat in a section enclosed in clear plastic sheeting to block the wind. I ordered the mixed grill and a fresh guava drink. The food was delicious, and the meal came with a fresh salad, a dish of tahini, and pita bread. Every bite was delicious! I added some tahini to the salad, which made for an amazing combination. The mixed grill came with vegetables and french fries, which helped cut the dense flavor of the meat. It was the right amount of food, and very reasonably priced for the location and view. The service was excellent, and the server was friendlier than those I experienced at other nearby restaurants, while also not interrupting too often. If you find yourself in the area (which you probably will, given its proximity to the Pyramids ticket office), definitely...
