pyramids heart hotel — Hotel in Giza

We advised the hotel we would be arriving late and when we arrived check in took 45mins, they didn't know if a room was ready and was asking what room we wanted, to which we advised what we booked. The guy checking us in didn't know what he was doing and it felt like he was constantly talking to someonene else by text. Tried to get us to book excursions even though we had stated we had done so already. After 45 mins of waiting to check 2 other people arrived, if felt like one of them was trying to hassle us to book trips. They also charged us more than what our initial booking when questioned they sait it was a extra charge? They charged us in local currency even though it stated on booking.com that foreigners had to pay in a foreign currency not local. At this point it was past midnight and we just wanted a room and a bed to sleep in. When we arrived all you could smell was faeces a strong smell. The room was not clean to a satisfactory level, the shower sprayed the full bathroom when in use. There was no hot water to start and when we eventually got the boiler on we got hot water eventually, it certainly wasn't 10 mins after as they said. Room smelt of damp. The only good thing about this hotel was the rooftop and one younger boy that worked there. We did book through booking.com but the hotel marked us down as not arriving. All seems a bit a dodgy| I do not recommend...

One word 'TERRIBLE. We arrived at this hotel then We checked IN. First, Asked me to pay for the entire reservations (4 days), after paying, told us to transfer to another hotel since the room here was not ready (pipes leaking etc). Brought us to this hotel far from the main road. To top that, the receptionists in this new 'hotel' (venus pyramids, or whatever) were not trained, not professional and rude. No proper breakfast (bread and some sauces i dont know with cheap chips for breakfast), so we ordered from their food menu for our breakfast the next day, and it turns out he (receptionist) ordered it from the food delivery then asked us to pay separately for the coleslaw, water, bread, and anything that comes for 'FREE' with this chicken Meal... plus the service charge. Wow.||Just wow.||We just finished the entire booking since for sure they cannot refund me back my payment so easily, and we just thought not to ruin our mood to make all these compaints during the trip....
