Villa Khufu is a true hidden gem, at the foot of the pyramid. The staff is so very attentive, kind and hospitable.
While staying at villa Khufu we really experienced true egyptian hospitality and service and felt like true welcome guests. All our needs and desired were fulfilled by the hotel staff, that did all of their possible to provide us with the most comfortable and pleasant stay possible. They we very generous to offer us early check-in and a gorgeous room with view over the pyramid, which was surreal.
Our stay at villa Khufu was so pleasant at the start of our trip in Cairo, that we decided to return on our last night, as a beautiful closure of our trip. And we didn’t regret it. The staff remembered us very well and offered us a warm welcome. We felt like coming back home. All throughout our stay, our needs and desires were catered to immediately and the lovely Ahmed made sure to check on our wellbeing and satisfaction regularly.
The hotel also offers tailored guided experiences to discovers the beauties of Egypt, and the reception staff is very attentive and able to customize these experiences to the individual. They we able to arrange a horseback ride experience for me, which ended up being one of the most wonderful ones I ever did in my life. I would have never had such an unforgettable experience if they hadn’t assisted me.
The home-cooked dinner and breakfast on the secluded rooftop terrace were definitely part of the highlight of our stay. To sit there peacefully, so near to the Pyramids, is surreal. The team in the open air-kitchen were always smiling and very serviceable, and their dishes very flavorful. As a plus, they offer a combination of Egyptian as well as non-egyptian dishes to cater to everyone’s tastes.
Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet, all our criteria covered there.
Altogether, if you are looking for a comfortable room, which has all the necessities, freshly cooked dining with a breathtaking view, a relaxed ambiance and ever-smiling staff that are always at your service and willing to cater to all of your needs, at village Khufu you will be in the best hands. It will definitely be a place we recommend to relatives and friends traveling to Egypt, and hopefully we will have the pleasure of being guests there again ourselves one day.
Merci, team Villa Khufu for all your...
Read moreI was here with a group in October 2024, and stayed 5 nights. It was a very special time. This hotel is so close to the pyramids. The two photos, one is taken from the rooftop restaurant, and the other from my bedroom balcony. It really was magical. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food is simple but fine. Highly recommend the Egyptian breakfast. There are multiple places to sit including a garden and roof area which is good because can be very hot, so the coolest areas will change during the day. (Bedrooms have air-conditioning.)
Things that are good to know - the hotel is located in a very poor area. The streets are tiny, there is rubble and houses that are falling down. Yet the people who you pass on the way to/from the Pyramids entrance were all lovely and kind (20 min walk). It felt very safe. As soon as you hit the main area, it's much more touristy and pushy. Because the roads around the hotel are badly maintained and like a warren - many taxis/Uber will not come to the hotel or be able to actually find it. Well worth booking a taxi from the Villa Khufu to pick you up. Also, bring toiletries as there was only soap in my bathroom. The hotel star system is different in Eygpt to Europe, so it might seem a little basic if this is your first hotel experience in the country, but what Villa Khufu has to offer is wonderfully unique and special. Wish them well...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience in villa Khuffu. For me it’s the best hotel in this area. Not too close to other hotel, in the village, where you can find peace and kindness all around. In 5 days we spent lots of time all around the hotel with local people. Made us feel like home. We’ve only seen love and respect between people. It can be surprising for someone who lives in Paris. « Egyptian try to never hate another people ». We’ve heard that many time … Egyptian hospitality is something that you met. Villa Khufu is an amazing place for that. Also people who work there are really caring with fully heart. And least but not last food is amazing. 3$ for an amazing oriental breakfast… we also had a room in front of kheops pyramid. I prefer than other pyramids because the place is very intimist. And more quiet than the main place where all the rooftop hotel are and also the Main Street in front of the pyramid which is very noisy.
For sure we will go back to this place.
We wanted to thanks all the staff for the hospitality and kindness. Was a pleasure to met all of them.
There is no word for how we felt in this place. Also the place is beautiful. They even have a vegetable garden...
