Fantastic, once in a life time trip to see the sphinx and pyramids! Have to be careful of people trying to rip you off,. I went with my dad and a guid but he left us to have a look round on our own for an hour or so and that's when these people try to sell you things or offer to take a picture and then demand money from you.. also a man came over to me wanting to hand me 'a gift' and basically threw it at me. I dropped it on the floor so my dad picked it up and shoved it back at the man saying no firmly and kept on walking, the man didn't look happy, then wondered off to find someone else to try and trick. They will try lots of different thing so be careful. Also we paid to go on the camels for a short trip to get a good view of all 3 pyramids and to have some amazing pictures taken. The man who took us out there did actually take brilliant pictures but then demanded a tip, I gave him 4 dollars and he told me this wasn't enough and he wanted a 5 dollar bill as he cant change 1 dollars? I took a 5 dollar bill out of my bag and asked for the 4 dollars back but he said no and took all the 9 dollars from me. Then he was asking if I was happy.. by this point I was quite intimidated/scared and in the desert with no choice but to go back with him. Then he said dont tell anybody about the tip as his boss wont be happy? But this did not ruin my day, as the pyramids and sphinx are a once in a life time fantastic site to see and feel. You can pay to go inside the pyramids, this was truly amazing although very hot and claustrophobic, some people turn back and dont get to see the tomb at the end. However me and my Dad kept going and it was definitely worth it. Just the tomb is in a smallish room, took afew photos and had to leave as the heat and no fresh air was getting abit much. Once again this was one of the best days of my life, since I was a little girl I was fascinated by the ancient Egyptians so it was worth every single penny. Also while in ciaro it's worth going to the museum to see tutankhamens death mask and tomb along with other fantastic things. You cannot take photos in afew of the rooms in the museum but this is to stop so many camera flashes and potential damage to the precious pieces. The river nile boat trip was good but not the best to be honest. Nice to be able to say iv done it but ciaro is very crowded and very poor, lots of beggars and the traffic is crazy, be careful crossing any roads. Cars almost crashing constantly and alls you can hear is car horns. I loved our trip but probably won't be coming back! Been there done that and onto the next adventure...

Rating: 5/5 Stars

Travelogue:

As I stepped foot in Giza, Egypt, I couldn't help but feel the weight of history and awe-inspiring grandeur of the Great Pyramids. My journey to these ancient marvels was a lifelong dream come true, and every moment was pure magic.

The Pyramids:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three, towers above the desert landscape, its 481-foot height still an engineering marvel 4,500 years later. The precision and skill of the ancient Egyptians are evident in every perfectly aligned stone.

The Pyramid of Khafre, slightly smaller but equally impressive, stands as a testament to the advanced knowledge and craftsmanship of the ancient civilization.

The smallest pyramid, Menkaure, though less imposing, still exudes an aura of majesty and historical significance.

Sunrise and Sunset Views: Witnessing the pyramids at dawn and dusk, when the golden light casts an ethereal glow, is truly breathtaking. Guided Tours: Expert guides provide invaluable insights into the pyramids' history, construction, and symbolism. The Sphinx: The enigmatic Great Sphinx, with its mysterious smile, adds to the allure of the pyramids. Desert Camel Ride: Exploring the pyramids on camelback offers a unique perspective and unforgettable experience. Sound and Light Show: The evening spectacle, with its dramatic lighting and narrative, brings the pyramids' history to life.

Cuisine:

Savor traditional Egyptian dishes like koshari, falafel, and shawarma at local eateries or upscale restaurants.
